    seriously?

Floyd is charged with assault/domestic violence. Felonies.

The maximum penalty that he faces is 34 years.

I dunno about anyone else, but I would take that ish VERY seriously.

I heard about this but the media made it seem like it would get swept under the rug..Wow I can't believe he would put his self in this position,he has money tho he is not doing no 34 yrs..But still the risk of any jail time is serious..

so we agree that it doesn't matter what weight Floyd fought Hatton? That hatton was the bigger man.

          Right?

Well, i believe that as long as floyd hasn't gambled/wasted away his cash, he could easily afford the best lawyers and have those problems taken care of.

I really doubt ANY of those charges will ever stick. Though this might have caused floyd to take a permanent vacation since its possible this case might take years to resolve. Pity though since i so wanted to see a pac/floyd fight.

I'm not sure if you ever noticed but I have never stated weight was an issue in that fight.

I'm not sure if Hatton was bigger and the poster Walt Liquor kinda ripped me when I parroted you Floyd fans for saying he was.

The only thing I ever mentioned regarding both was the fact that when people were asking who's win was better I said it's a matter of choice/preference.

If you feel Mayweather beating an undefeated Hatton was better....then I can see your arguement for that.

If you feel Manny beating him at his best weight was a better win....I can see that as well.

It's all subjective IMO and really comes down to what you feel is more impressive. I feel both wins are equal....but that's just me.

I have to be honest and admit that my knowledge on that subject is very limited.

Now I have been following politics only because I have to write a paper over it, which I really don't want to do.

Topic-Bush tax cuts vs extended unemployment benefits.

Maybe you can give me your input on that... because again my knowledge on that stuff is very limited.

I also think you have to add,the way Pac beat him was crazy as well at Hatton's best weight..

Floyd dominated Hatton's mind the rest followed..

BTW while I don't know much about Politics, I do know it takes a lot of time/ dedication on a person part who is involved.

The dems proposed a very reasonable bill this week. They were down to extend the Bush-era tax cuts to everybody but the super-wealthy. The GOP then blocked it because they wanted to include the people who make $1million per year plus. As if the 3% rate difference would mean anything to those folks. That was bull****.

However, i do get GOP point regarding the extension of UI benefits. In some ways, that has become the 'new welfare". Clinton led welfare reform in the 90's to get people back to work. But the several interations of unemployment benefit extension have only served as a disincentive for people to go back to work.

I actually have met people who wouldn't take temporary or lower-paying work because it would jeopardize their unemployment check. WTF is that?!

We have to get some of these people off the federal teat.

I'm a fiscal conservative who is in favor of higher taxes for the top 1-3% of income earners. The reality is that segment of the population typically has a bunch of exemptions and shelters anyway.

I am, however, vehemently opposed to raising the retirement age.
