nah. politicians don't work hard. Seriously.

Politicians spend half their time fundraising and campaigning. Actual legislative activity is the minority of their time.

you can make the statement that Hatton was bigger with 100% confidence. Because he was.

hatton was 154 pounds in the ring, and everybody knew he would be. That is Ricky's normal fighting weight. Floyd was 148.

In fact, Ricky was high 150's for the Collazo fight.

Getting "the best lawyers" won't give you a "get out of jail for free" card. This isn't a third world country.

I really doubt ANY of those charges will ever stick. Though this might have caused floyd to take a permanent vacation since its possible this case might take years to resolve. Pity though since i so wanted to see a pac/floyd fight.
And exactly on which grounds do you make these statements? Are you just guessing based on your gut feeling?
Do you have some kind of inside knowledge we don't?

Dude. I just watched Martha Stewart do time.

I know that the situations are not the same. But think about it:

Martha Stewart did REAL jail time.

For real. the tide has turned.

in fact, it seems like prosecutors are more rabid when it comes to pursuing the rich and famous now.

However, i do get GOP point regarding the extension of UI benefits. In some ways, that has become the 'new welfare". Clinton led welfare reform in the 90's to get people back to work. But the several interations of unemployment benefit extension have only served as a disincentive for people to go back to work.

I actually have met people who wouldn't take temporary or lower-paying work because it would jeopardize their unemployment check. WTF is that?!

We have to get some of these people off the federal teat.

I'm a fiscal conservative who is in favor of higher taxes for the top 1-3% of income earners. The reality is that segment of the population typically has a bunch of exemptions and shelters anyway.

I am, however, vehemently opposed to raising the retirement age.
Good ****. I can see that arguement

Your probably right. I just heard a few tell me they did....but at the same time my buddy works IT for this large corporation. He claimed he worked hard....but everytime I call him to while he is at work...dude is either playing solitaire or just ****ing off on the internet. I'm not shocked if those politicians lied to me to make their job seem a lot harder than what it was...lol

Well I wasn't aware of that. Didn't really have any proof so I stated I was just going off of what other posters mentioned.

                Okay I'm out.

I will say this; I never thought I would see the day I would have a decent conversation with you Gino Ros....no offense or anything.

We are just polar opposites, with you being an huge fan of Floyd and critic of Manny.

I'm Manny's biggest supporter on this site.....so yeah I never thought I'd see the day....lol

IMO are Floyd top 3 wins.
Sadly.....in 50+ years, only the name of Marquez, Oscar and Mosley will be noticed/known in Floyd's resume.

to ignorant boxing fans of 2060.

much like most pinoy fans couldn't tell you many of ali's best wins or losses from 40 years ago.

I'm FAR from a huge Floyd fan.

I think manny was the reason the first fight (mar 13) didn't happen, and Floyd was the reason the second fight (nov 13) didn't happen.

                      Take care.
