I think the G-man definately had a good chance against roy, but since the fight between them never materialized, we could never tell if mcclellan could ever beat roy. Everything is just pure speculation.

and what was up with the referee at the first round of mcclellan vs benn? He kept giving Nigel Benn more time to recover by pushing Mcclellan away.

A good chance? NO way would Jones survive round 1. Sorry, that is just the way it is. People from Florida dont know how to fight.

Floridians are soft. Lacy is the one exception you have there. The time he spent out of Florida must have toughened him up.

Mackay, I don't agree with that. A great fighter can come from any city or any country.

All they do down there is jetski, lounge around on the beach, fish, play golf, and go to disneyland.

Nothing wrong with that. Mackaymania does the same things. I've seen his reality show on VH1.

It's very, very difficult for me to picture Jones beating McClellan. It's very, very easy for me to picture McClellan knocking out Jones.

As for Benn, this guy was awesome Post-Eubank1 (with the exception of Malinga1 and Giminez) upto the McClellan fight. He really was one of the best in the world, just like Eubank was at this time too, the easE in which they beat opponents and how sharp they looked while doing so comfirms this. I think Benn under Jimmy Tibbs (1991-1994) gives Jones his toughest ever fight due to his awesome defence he had under Tibbs, his head was always moving and he also had learned how to punch to the body effectively and time his forward moves instead of rushing in, and he was very sharp. Watching Benn training on that television documentary, I've never seen anybody looking so tremendous on the punch pads.. Benn was AWESOME on the punch pads, Tyson didn't look that good on the pads, De La Hoya didn't look that good on the pads, nobody looked that good on the pads. He really was something.

As for Benn-McClellan, nobody was able to withstand as many of Benn's punches McClellan did, it was like he was superhuman or something. He should of been knocked out at the start of round two and many times over. Benn could whack like no other, so if it wasn't his punches that caused the brain damage then what the **** did his punches cause? McClellan was lucky to come out alive due to standing in front of Nigel Benn with no defence (suicidal).

Uh Julian Jackson's punches and from other fights. Gerald threw defence to the wind alot and just went to slug. AFter the first round, G hardly even did anything do defend himself or throw any punches. He was like a zombie. There was definitely something wrong with his head before that bout. And Jackson hits harder than Benn. He had no defence after the first round because something was wrong with him. You dont just instaneously go into braindamage.

Just like it was very easy to see Tyson knock out Mcbride...
