Floyd Fans Give Up

On the real, neither Floyd or Pacquiao are better than B-Hop or Roy, atleast in my opinion. I really don't think much of the two anymore, one is very talented and has the ability to accomplish more but is too inactive/ doesn't seem to have that drive anymore, and the other seems to go for the worse options. This is why I like Martinez, I hope he continues to dominate and put the other two to shame, which he's already doing.Last edited by Doctor_Tenma; 12-04-2010, 10:01 AM.Comment

One could also argue that jmm is putting them to shame.
I can't see Floyd or manny stepping up 2 divisions to face a great fighter at their weight while leapfrogging on division entirely and taking 0 tune up to acclimate himself at the weight.Comment

I also don't recall Floyd or manny being in a hurry to fight casa.Comment

People need to let 2008 go because no way in hell is Marquez vs Pacquiao close at this point in their careers. I also don't see why JMM deserves ****. This is the 4th time he has fvkked himself over as far as getting a fight with Manny and Team Pacquiao is just tired of his b.s.
Berto....well that dude gets destroyed easily by Manny. So does Shane but atleast Shane has a chin and is strong enough to clinch and slow Manny dlwn at times. I don't like any of those fights but people need to realize the only real challenges are Martinez and Floyd and Manny isn't taking the Martinez fight until either he faces Floyd, or realizes the fight is dead once and for all.Comment

That's not why Mosley was never accused of cherrypicking!!I suggest U take a long hard look at Mosley's resume after he left from his lightweight iron fist domination!!Mosley has been in the ring with more elite fighters than anyone else since coming up to welterweight & even 154 real talk!!
Oscar De La Hoya ventures were both big fights and Oscar was still elite, but no one turns down a fight with De La Hoya, cause even if you lose the profile and money you receive just for fighting him.......
Vernon Forrest was considered just the other champion when Mosley fought him, people recognized that he had tools and skills in the ring, but who had he really proven it against? Mosley pretty much made Forrest career.
Winky Wright was much like Vernon Forrest just an above average career pre-Mosley (best performance was against Vargas), he had a better career than Forrest post Mosley, but Mosley didn't have a crystal ball to predict that Wright would blow up and become big. So you can't say Mosley was taking on some sort of tour de force at the time.
Vargas was pretty much crap post De La Hoya.
Cotto chose Mosley as a stepping stone fight as much as Shane chose Cotto. That was more of a mutual decision.
I will give him credit for Margarito.
Mayweather chose Mosley coming off the failed negotiations with Pac. Credit to Mosley for accepting, but its not like he picked the fight, or was in much of a position to turn it down. I know Shane did some barking, but he was considered to be on vacation post-Margarito.Comment

Man these excuses are weak. The only opponent Manny beat that was weight drained was Oscar and who's fault is that? I mean you said you boxed so I'm sure you are aware that it's each fighters responsibility to show up in their best form. Blaming Manny for that is as bad as Blaming the Klitschko for their opponents not training hard and showing up fat and sloppy as hell.Comment

I am no longer a fan of Floyd.
To be honest, I dont think he's "scared" physically of anyone, but he's obsessed with his undefeated record. If he lost, he couldn't handle it, similar to Hamed and Trinidad.
Also..
He once was a beast, but somewhere along the line he lost interest. He's no longer a fighter, he doesn't have the killer instinct. He only fights to support his "lavish" life style. He doesn't want it anymore, but he can't make that much money doing anything else.
I would support him if he fought Pac, tests or no tests. But until that happens, the hell with him.Comment

He's definitely showing more bravado than the two.Comment
