I think Floyd did his part to try to fight Pac and
Pac didn't want it bad enough because IF he really
wanted to shut Floyd's mouth and his pops. Pacquiao
would have just said F!@k it! Lets go but Manny did
the opposite. So with all of this undeniable evidence,
I am supposed to believe that Arum is not using Floyd's
name to make Pacquiao richer? BULL****.
Why are *****s STILL bringing up the first negotiation like it's still relevant??? Seriously...EVERYONE got the answers they were looking for by the second negotiation! Pacquiao caved in to 7 days when Floyd wanted 14 and Floyd flat out REFUSED the fight!!! Floyd & his team just had to say publicly "random testing 24 hrs before the fight or NO FIGHT", but he didn't say that, even now!! Instead they LIED and pretended there were "no negotiations"!! That alone tells the world that Mayweather does NOT want to fight Pacquiao!!

Yet *****s are STILL holding on to the first negotiation even though it is the right of all fighters to refuse or at least negotiate testing that NO commission or any other professional boxer in the world supports. The random testing for Mayweather-Mosley changed NOTHING!! Afterwards, NO fighter or commission adopted it!! In fact, I bet that Floyd himself did NOT enjoy the process of being tested up to the day of the fight. Why else would he claim "no negotiations"?? Random testing is now a MOOT POINT!!!

I think that Floyd exhausted every excuse to avoid a fight with Pacquiao. And when the sports world realized this, he began to self-destruct from the embarrassment. Hence...all his personal and criminal troubles!!

Spot on man. Floyd is his own boss, he moves when he wants. If he wanted the fight, it would have happened. He does NOT want it with Pacquiao.

The reason why people who actually follow the whole sport
bring it up is because, if Manny would have just agreed to the
tests like he was supposed to, instead of opting to back out
of it and fight Clottey. We wouldn't be going back and forth
like this because we would already know who the best is right
now, rather than arguing about it. Manny dropped the ball,
PERIOD. Talking about Floyd is scared of Manny? Ha ha ha!
So scared that Manny didn't want to take the tests? You Paciens
          are hilarious.

Pacquiao and Mayweather had agreed to unlimited random urine testing, but Mayweather also insisted on random blood testing, even though the Nevada State Athletic Commission, which would oversee the bout at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, requires only urine testing.

Pacquiao (50-3-2, 38 KOs) didn't want blood testing but later relented and agreed to three blood tests: one during the week of the kickoff news conference, which would have taken place next week, one random test to be conducted no later than 30 days before the fight and a final test in his dressing room after the fight. Mayweather (40-0, 25 KOs) would be subject to the same testing procedures.

When they could not come to an agreement, Top Rank and Golden Boy Promotions, which represents Mayweather, turned to a mediator, retired judge Daniel Weinstein, who had successfully mediated a series of disputes between Top Rank and Golden Boy in 2007.

But after nine hours in mediation on Tuesday in Santa Monica, Calif., and further attempts to come to a resolution on Wednesday failed, the fight was pronounced dead by the Pacquiao camp.
Schaefer believes that Arum's position of leaving it up to the commission is him "moving the goal post."

"The pressure is on Pacquiao," he said. "They keep moving the goal post like they did with the $10 million weight penalty [if either fighter is over the contract maximum 147 pounds], which we agreed to. They didn't think we would accept that. When we did, they had to find something else to make into a problem. So now they're saying it's up to the commission instead of wanting to negotiate the drug testing with us. I don't want to hear that if the fight breaks up it was because of us. When they came to us with a $10 million weight penalty, they didn't expect us to say yes. They thought we'd say no. So when we said yes, they had to come up with something else. Now we're off USADA, and they are going to come and say only urine testing if that's what the commission says. It's really frustrating.

"We are making compromises. It's a two-way street.

Manny Pacquiao's trainer, Freddie Roach, just sat down with reporters in the media room. We asked whether he or Pacquiao was disappointed at all that the Filipino will be fighting Joshua Clottey, and not Floyd Mayweather Jr., on Saturday.

"It may have been a little bit of a letdown for him, because when
we were working the mitts, he'd go into Mayweather mode -- pretending
          he was Mayweather
, with the hand down and the shoulder
roll and all that," he said

I consider myself to be very objective but naturally there is always going to be some subjective point of view in my comments. I have followed boxing a very long time. Way before Floyd and Manny and will continue way after that, thank you very much.

I have stated that Floyd is very skilled fighter. A year ago I had Floyd being the odds favorite. I think the odds have closed of late but I will reassess when and if this fight actually takes place.

It's not even about Floyd's skills or odds of winning a fight. It's his vacations, his opponent selections and skipping the opportunities to show to the world who he can be. See, I can said that objectively. Instead many of Floyd's fans are still stuck on PEDs testing and that Manny must be on PEDs because Floyd said so.
The only guy that can have a legitimate beef with Mayweather was Margarito. He actually went to Mayweather in person and asked when they could fight, but what you fail to mention is at the very same time, Paul Williams had been calling out Margarito. For years prior to that, PWill had been going around talking about how he whooped Margs in a sparring session so they sent him home for it. The only reason Margs fought PWill was because he was his mandatory, years later.

As for the other guys you listed, Cotto never wanted it with Mayweather. PWill wasn't calling out Mayweather because he was busy trying to land a fight with Margs. If you say Mayweather "ducked" PWill, then you have to say that Pacquiao did too. Mayweather never ducked Mosley, if you were a fan of boxing, you would have known Mosley had a "toothache" after he knocked out Vargas when he was asked about a Mayweather fight next. Pacquiao did "duck" Mosley though, i.e. see Roach's interview at Wild Card.

You weren't a fan of the sport before 2007 because if you were, you'd know that the opponents that Mayweather has fought are legit and were former world champions and world beaters. Stop hating, especially on things you have no knowledge about. You want to vent? Take your agenda to school with you.

The only good fighters you mentioned are Cotto, Mosley and Manny, and Cotto/Mosley both turned down Mayweather twice. Everyone knows that Manny turned down the fight in Dec because he wouldn't accept OST's without a 24 day cut-off.

Anyway who cares? That's old news, and Mayweathers on vacation. There are more valid issues currently affecting boxing imho.
              Superb post, dude.

How come Mayweather was talked about so much in pre-fight interviews leading up to bout with Margs. Why did Pacquiao lie about agreeing to drug testing after he signed for Margs. Did anybody hold a gun to Pacquiao or Koncz's head and told them to talk about Mayweather during 24/7? Does Ariza need to give statements about Mayweather every week? How come Arum has been saying "Mayweather's our first priority" yet Mosley seems to be the guy?

Mayweather has said nothing pertaining to boxing, yet somehow, you're in threads posting about him. Yeah, Arum's not using Mayweather's name to sell.

It's amazing how one cannot come to terms with that statement. It's almost as if they'd rather leave it up to debate than want Pacquiao to test and find out.
