same reason as why they have untelevised fights the same night.

so that way they hold one event and get a lot of their prospects fights to pad the resume with.

I don't buy their PPVs, I go watch them with friends for a twelve pack of beer if I feel compelled by any fights on the card.

If the show is good I will buy it and have the party though.

at least top ranks holds a lot of small ppv shows that barely make any money to get their fighters fights unlike gbp who used hbo for their bs fights because they don't do their own ppvs.

Top Rank had developed fighters... Even now with Juanma Lopez, GBP has yet brought up a Juanma Lopez let alone Floyd, Pac, Oscar, and to a lesser extent a Cotto.

They use blind dates from HBO to put on crap...Guerrero-Escobedo and Judah Matthysse come to mind.

Top Rank does what a real promoter should do and come out of his pocket with his independent PPV to keep their fighters busy. GBP doesn't do that at all...

Seriously if GBP can not get a tv date their fighters sit on the sidelines...How is that a good promoter? Seriously?

I have always found people to hard on GBP and HBO for what they put on to be honest, because Top Rank does worse and they never get talked about.

I like watching The Ghost though (Guerrero not Pavlik~)

When was the last time the best fights on HBO live came from Top Rank and not GBP, I can't even remember the last time Top Rank even had a memorable fight on HBO it might have been Manny Pacquiao?

I watch solo boxeo I don't find it superior to what GBP does on HBO.

Golden Boy's PPV Undercards > Top Rank PPV Undercards.

Golden Boy put on the two best events of the year as a whole: Mayweather-Mosley and Marquez-Katsidis. They both had solid undercards and were enjoyable, correctly matched event.

Top Rank gave us Pac/Clottey and Pac/Margarito. And some Julio Cesar Chavez Jr PPV fights.

Golden Boy has had some bad events this year, but Uncle Bob's PPV undercards are always deplorable.

don't remember the mosley/wifebeater undercards right off the bat, but marquez/katsidis was a co-promotion with dibella entertainment. HBO put that undercard together, not GBP
