    Again,

There was catch-weight with belts on the line before Pac became a pro. And, once he retires there will be catch-weight fights with belt on the lines.

The thinking of Pac invented this or created this special rule is ridiculous.

Thank you. It is a mutual agreement...and it's been there for awhile. The only reason why many people are bitter about it is that Pacquiao has been eating up the competition even on fair and agreed upon weight.

Catchweights are not partial to any fighers. It is in the middle of both fighters' weights AND agreed upon.

weight are pointless but as other people have said, there would be no champions.

it would definetely die if there were no weight classes, i think they should reduce the amount of weight classes, make it 12lbs inbetween each weight class instead of having like 5lbs

That's not really true if u think about it. Most fighters that are fighting Pac lately just want to get paid so they would come in at 130 if they had to, with that said to make things more clear if my natural weight is 160 while u're natural weight is 147 and we fight and are weigh in is for 150 on fight night who do u think will be healthier? While I'm on a diet trying to get to 150 you're at the all you can eat buffet pumping weights getting stronger therefore you will be more fresh come fight night. Why do u think Roach and Arum says if they fight Marquez the fight will be at 147 not 140?

Tell me about these "Special diamond belts" Armstrong won.

Tell me how all these other fighters mentioned made "history" based on These made up belts specifically for specific fights.

Sure it is a mutual agreement, doesn't necessarily mean it is mutually beneficial.

Guys are willing to kill themselves making weight at this point to get a shot at the money Pacquiao brings to the table?

Saying "they agreed to it, so its fair" is ridiculous.

I say it's all good as long as the good fighters are fighting other good fighters. It's good for the sport............Rockin'

No need to get rid of all divisions.

Just get rid of the "Super" and "Junior" Divisions and it'll be fine.

Guys won't be running and gunning to become multi-division champions unless they feel like they can move up from 147 to 160 and fight natural, strong Middleweights.

Middleweight Champions won't move up in weight unless they feel like they're strong enough and ready for guys 15 pound heavier at 175. The Cruiserweight Division can stay, even though it's almost a irrelevant division and just a "Pass-by" to Heavyweight.

But if there are guys who are 6'2 and natural 210-220 and don't feel like they can compete with 250 pounders who might be anywhere from 6'4 to 6'8, then if they have the discipline (like most smaller division fighters), they will drop those 20 pounds and campaign at Cruiser, and make a living there. If not, they can do what Fat ass Eddie Chambers is doing.

A ban on catchweights is a more practical solution!!
