I'm not gonna sit here and big up Kessler cuz' he's not ALL THAT, but I think if this fight took place in Denmark, or anywhere but Oakland, Ward gets points deducted at least once if not more and maybe even gets dq'd.

Just him losing points alone would've changed the whole texture of that fight. Not saying Kessler would've won or not, but I don't think it would've looked like THAT.

I don't believe that. That fight proved that Ward is the better overall fighter. A neutral venue wouldn't have helped Kessler all that much.

I'm not sure if he's better overall, it showed me he can get away with murder there and not get any points deducted.

I'm gonna watch Bika/Ward later today and laugh my ass off, if I can stay awake for the whole thing.

i like how ppl still act like ward fighting at home somehow changed the course of the fights. he dominated both green and kessler, no amount of ref interference would have changed that fact.

anyways, ward still had the easier route, but it wasnt necessarily his fault. dirrell dropped out, if he hadnt, then ward would have probably had one of the tougher routes in all honesty.

That is the problem. There should have been more interference by the ref. Some of the stuff he was pulling against Kessler for instance would get many fighters disqualified. Kessler was basically butted to death on purpose. He would then rub his forehead into Kessler's cuts.

Until Ward gets off his ass and fights somewhere other than Oakland, he gets no respect from me. Something about that whole arrangement is not right.

Exactly. To be honest, I thought Ward would be the worst in this tourney due to his resume and even in some of those fights, one of the fighters actually looked like they took a dive (Jones-Tarver III undercard).

I'm still not acclimated to Ward's style and I'm not planning on catching anymore of Ward's contests, but hey, the dude is getting the job done, and decisively.
