If you pay attention, Freddie Roach will tell you all you need to know about Pac's recent (and not so recent choice of opponents.) Dating all the way back to the first Morales fight, the one quote Roach has repeated in all of Pac's major fights is "(whomever he's fighting) is no longer the same fighter he once was." Therefore, if his trainer says a guy is past-it, what am I supposed to think?

yeah but floyd beat jmm with all boxing. he didnt use his size. unlike iwth mosley, he beat mosley with his size, boxing skill and damn near the kitchen sinkdont you think that floyd made mosley look terrible too? he made him look very old and un-dynamic which i know floyd can do with his skills (how i saw it anyway). floyd did the same to JMM but in fairness floyd did weigh a fair bit more....JMM and Pac are naturally closer and he's taken pac to the wire twice...unless mosley is on PEDS i see pac running rings around him pot shotting and countering him until mosley is battered sillyComment

Yes, Pac is over rated these accomplishments are absurd..
"Fighter of the Decade 2000-2009" - Boxing Writers Association of America...
"2009 Fighter of the Year" - Boxing Writers Association of America...
"2009 Fighter of the Year" - The Ring...
"2008 Fighter of the Year" - Boxing Writers Association of America...

All of the acomplishments you mentioned are mere popularity contests. Since the first Barerra fight, every one Pac biggest wins came against fighters coming off either loses, rebuilding from loses, or lackluster performacnes against lesser fighters. Its not about who you fight, its when you fight them. Margarito would have been a great win immediately after he stopped Cotto. But watching him lose every second of every round before before having his brain deposited into orbit kinda took the luster of Pac's performance against him, IMO. And the lis goes on and on.Comment

JMM is technically superior to 95% of the fighters I've ever seen, and I've been following this sport closely for over two decades. For Money to reduce him to a bad sparring partner after two years away from the sport is impressive, I don't care what the size difference was. And as has been repeated continually, great lightweights moving up beating great welterwieghts isn't uncommon in boxing. Hell, the great welterweight fighting the great lightweight has happen in just about ever era in boxing history.Comment

mosley doesnt sell PPVs. what are you talkign about. floyd carried that PPV.At this point if you dont sell PPV's you dont get a shot at Pacquiao. What suck is whos next after Mosley? Mayweather will be getting butt ****d in jail so its not gonna be him. Marquez is a never was. Berto might become a big name but it'll take some time. Pac might have to fight Khan next.Comment

Well, fortunately for me, I have my own mind and more importantly, I have my own eyes. Boxing has become just like the music business. Its not about talent and accomplishments any more. Its about who the power's that be tell us is good. Example, in Jan 2009, Mosley completely outclassed then deposited Margarito flat on his ass. Fast foward a coupel years later. Mayweather fights the winner of that fight, beats him easily outside of a 30 second window, and criticized for it. Pacquaio fights the loser of that fight, beats him easily, but is hurt and has to go to the hospital. Yet, he's praised for it. How that makes logical sense to an intellegent person is beyond me. But as I stated, put any Manny Pacquaio win on the table after the first Barerra fight and I'll show you a fighter coming off a loss, rebuilding from a loss, or coming off a lackluster performance against a lesser fighter. If that's greatness, so be it.Comment
