ppl come on here and complain about ward fighting in oakland. well guess what??? where was calzaghe fighting at this time in his career??? when was the last time lucian bute fought away from canada??? ppl just dont like the guy because of his style and because they are insecure bute/calzaghe fans. that or they are pro ero fighters...lmao, whatever that means.

Ward has not surpassed Calzaghe, yet. They both beat Kessler and Bika. Calzaghe shutout Lacy; Ward did the same to Green. Calzaghe's victory was more impressive since he was the underdog and Lacy was an undefeated world champion. Ward was expected to beat Green, just not that easily. Calzaghe's victories over Jones and Hopkins don't really count, he beat two forty year olds who knocked him down in the very first round. But credit must be given to his victory over a 31 year old Eubanks. Eubanks was past his prime, but he wasn't old which is why he was the favorite in that fight. Ward doesn't have a comparable victory. If Ward wins the tournament by beating the two strongest punchers at 168 - Abraham and Froch - then I would say his resume is better. Right now Calzaghe still has the edge.
