JMM-Katsidis attendance at less than 5K. I read somewhere the Pwill-Martinez fight only had over 5K in attendance. These are supposedly top 10 division/pound for pound fighters, yet the live audience attendance sucks, what's wrong?

Boxing needs new ideas like what Arum is doing by bringing fights to new arenas and exposing the sport to a wider audience in stadiums and ball parks. I think the Vegas thing is getting stale. GBP is trying to expand the market on the East Coast, so we'll see how that goes.

But it's a shame that a war like that had such a limited crowd, those guys deserve better.

Arum, GBP and other promoters may not be enough. We need more ambassadors for the sport. Pacquiao is going great in this department bringing in millions of fans from Europe and Asia. I however, think we need more fighters with the same charisma.

I hope a great fighter will come out of China. Just imagine billions of people becoming boxing fans. Overseas Chinese most of whom are affluent can also contribute immensely to the sport, and there are millions of them worldwide.

It will mean more PPVs, more ticket sales, more sponsors, more bettings. Chinese are gamblers.
