Tonight, Andre Ward held and headbutted his way to a decision win over Sakio Bika.
Bika was fighting two men in the ring tonight: Ward and his crooked referee. Did anyone else notice after Bika landed a hard clean punch, the referee gave him a hard shove away from Ward?
The referee was on Bika's back whenever he started to gain some momentum. But the ref never stopped Ward from holding Bika's arm every time he came in close, nor did he warn him about his constant use of headbutts on the inside.
And the judges were crooked too: the scorecards were ridiculously wide, especially the 120-108.
Lucian Bute and Joe Calzaghe didn't need a referee to help them win their clear decisions against Bika. They didn't need a home ref to permit them to hold Bika's arm, and they didn't have a home ref push Bika away after he landed a good punch. And they didn't use repeated deliberate headbutts as an important part of their game plan, knowing they could get away with it like Ward did.
Bute and Calzaghe OUTBOXED Bika and earned their wins.
Although the crooked judges had those scorecards ridiculously wide tonight, in reality the fight was CLOSER than Bika's fight's with Calzaghe and Bute.
Ward combines the characteristics of Bernard Hopkins and Sven Ottke.
Like B-Hop, he's a very dirty fighter. And like Ottke, he's a very protected fighter who has crooked referees and judges to make sure he wins all his fights in Oakland.

If he is, boxing is in trouble.
