Why do people want to see Marquez vs Pacquiao III?

Pac is still the same fighter, he's just matched up more carefully now which gives the appearance that he's this multi-dimensional boxer.
Fact is, even your average boxing scene poster can look like a two handed dynamo when working a heavy bag.
The sentiment that *****'s are trying to clumsily express when they talk about Pac ducking slick black fighters is actually correct, except that they're using race to express a legitimate concern which automatically turns people off.
But the fact remains, Arum has kept him away from slick boxers who can counterpunch since the JMM fight. Back in 2008, when they fought, Pac was already being called "vastly improved" etc... JMM 2 proved what we all know.
Pac can't fight skilled boxers, only come forward fighters.
pac's skills is so underrated in this forum that's why a lot of posters take pride in fantasy ****s like he can't handle slick black fighters. the truth is black slick fighters are very rare and even highly skilled fighters are hard to find in pac's current division or even in the previous divisions he fought in. you can't avoid anybody who is not there. i'd rather be realistic than live in ****** fantasy.Comment

I mean when Amir tried to fight him....everyone called Khan an p*ssy and a cherry picker....yet you wanna throw him in there with Pacquiao.
Also JMM couldn't beat anyone in the top 7-10 at JWW, yet he is suppose to be competitive with the P4P #1 fighter?
How do you think Marquez does against Cotto, Margarito and Clottey? Dude gets stream rolled.
Lastly, People dissed Floyd for fighing him instead of Shane, so why give Manny a pass for fighting him above LW? Manny, IMO, should get as much heat as Floyd did if this is at 140 or above.
I can't believe people would even want to see this. I like Marquez, and I would rather see him and Manny's rivalry be remember for the two legendary fights they had.....not Manny brutally TKO'ing him within 5 rounds. Throwing him in with Manny is about as foolish as throwing Margarito in with Martinez...just because Margarito beat him a long time ago.
Marquez has no business above 135 IMO MAYBE 140, but 135 is his best chance.Comment

both of his fights with jmm were very close...if he can't fight skilled fighters or counterpunchers he should have been blown away by jmm. winning fights is not just about skills. you got to have a big heart and the resiliency to win. jmm is not wanting in those departments either but he wasn't able to dominate pac. so what exactly is missing in his arsenal? the way you describe him he has all the tools to beat pac...except that it didn't really happen in their 2 fights.

The second fight was close, but again, the majority of people had JMM winning that fight as well. I watched it with a house full of Filipino's who all thought he lost.
This isn't a fantasy, this is reality.
Look at who he's been matched against since JMM if you don't believe that. None of those guys can be mistaken for great boxers or even decent counterpunchers. They're all tailor made come forward fighters that a guy with fast hands and fast feet can look great against.
I hate Mayweather, but stylistically, he will make Pacquiao look just like Marquez did, maybe even worse.
I'm just being realistic about it.Comment

Can someone please tell me why both Mayweather and Khan got heat for trying to fight Marquez above 135....but people want Marquez vs Pacquiao?
Both were called cherry pickers/p*ssies and whatever else you wanna throw in there.Comment

Well, the way most people see it, he won both fights. The fact that Pac dropped him in the first fight 3 times in that round and only managed a draw, means he lost. No matter how you slice it, JMM exposed him in pretty much every round after that with a broken nose.

you Marquez fans need to let it go.
Marquez doesn't last more than 5 rounds against Pacquiao...and honestly....dude doesn't even beat Hatton at 140.
You said it yourself that you saw Marquez slipping and age catching up with him. I know your trying to be funny jack but I know you don't believe Marquez has a chance against Manny right now.Comment

Just to settle the score. Pac should have won the first fight by SD, but a scoring error made that fight a draw. Marquez should have won the second fight by SD or close UD, but a lack of competent judging gave Pac the victory that night.
I understand where you are coming from, no one wants to see their rivalry ruined kind of like Vazquez-Marquez was ruined by staging a 4th fight, but I will be very interested in that fight especially if Marquez wipes out Katsidis. If Marquez struggles with Kats and Pac demands 147 pounds after the fight, then yes, a third fight would be a pointless massacre.Comment

Because Pac can still easily make 135 but won't because he knows he needs the extra weight advantage in order to win.
Mayweather and Khan can't make 135.

But Pac doesn't look like an "atg" against good boxers and counterpunchers, he's matched like this by Arum for a reason.Comment

reality also tells me that pac and floyd hasn't fought yet in the ring. everything is just predictions not reality...floyd will dominate pac blah blah blah. that's fine as long as you don't brag about it. what's more ****** is when people bring race into it.
get a grip of reality...it's so simple.Comment
