And I certainly never remember JT coming out saying he'd be willing to fight Mayweather at 154. This is an apples and oranges situation. Outside of Mayweather-Pacquaio, Martinez fighting either man is the next biggest fight out there (much like Mosley was when Money fought him back in May.) And yes, Martinez is the middleweight champ. But, he's willing to come down to 154 where Pac holds a title belt. I don't see why its such a sore subject with the Pacwh*res. Hell, I think Pac has a good chance of beating Martinez. Hell **** that, Pac would beat Martinez. As much as Martinez drops his hands and as easy as he is to hit for slow handed fighters like Pavlik, Cintron, and Williams, Pac would find him. I'd pick Pac by close decision. Hell, Mayweather may go to prison and this is the next best fight. Make the damn thing happen next May.
No way! If Kelly Pavlik couldn't do it then definitely
Manny ain't the man to. Martinez would school Pac.
I've been watching Martinez fight for a while now
and he gets better. Too skilled to let Manny tee
off on him like all of his other past opponents.
there's a reason why Bob Arum and Manny's team
is saying Manny is too small now in a division where
he holds a belt. Manny wants credit for beating all
these bigger guys but then his people uses the excuse
that he is physicall too small. Should not have bitten
off more than he could chew.

Martinez would be Pacquiaos biggest challenge yet. I don't think Manny could handle it.

Martinez has lulls in all of his fights. And please, let's not act like Pac's handspeed wouldn't give Martinez trouble. That said, I think Martinez would counter the hell outta Pac at times. But, I think that Pca would be able to touch Martinez up a bit. And what you're forgetting is that Martinez has a tendacy to get put on his ass in his fights. I think there's a very good chance Martinez would go down at least once. And also, Pac would outhustle him. Combine Pac outhustling him, along with Pac being the house fighter and I think Pac would win a close, maybe even controversal decision. The fight will basically come down to Pac being able to take Martinez' punches. If he can't, he's in trouble. If he can, I think he'll win.

All the greats like Robinson, Armstrong, Ali, and others took on fights like this...and if Manny wants to be mentioned in the same breath as these guys.....it's fights like this he needs to take.

The crazy thing is this is a fight that he could probably win. Martinez has a lot of weakness that Manny could exploit and win or lose....this is a very close fight....regardless of what most think.
i agree, although pac's mileage is pretty high...
i think people are too high on sergio at the moment.
now that he is on top, let him get a few fights in & STAY on top.
pressure is on... since floyd/pac are not pulling their weight, fans are hungry for the next star.

I dont understand why your rep is red. Green for your response. But you know everyone keeps on picking the little midget for money reasons. Its best if pac maintains and stays at WW. let Pac wait for money to come out from his hole.

Manny Pacquiao can dominate fighers with no
defense and movement but as we already witnessed.
Martinez is tough as nails. Pac is tough too but he
won't get off all of this punches on Martinez that he
landed on all of his other past opponents. Martinez
beats Pac up and puts him out. Sergio knows it, Arum
knows it and you can see Nathaniel knows it. Their trying
everything to keep Manny from Martinez. Bet you pretty
soon that they vacate Martinez's title to not fight Martinez
                for it.

There are no superfights at welterweight outside of Mayweather, and he's probably going to prison. With all the **** going on in Money's camp, I doubt seriously he'll be available for a May showdown with Pac. Pac hasn't fought a P4P elite since the Cotto fight. And the reality is, Pac hasn't fought a top P4P guy since the JMM rematch. Pac is supposedly the P4P King. Its time for Pac to step up and defend the P4P title. say what you want, but Mayweather's last three fights have come against guys who were then rated in the top 5 P4P. Outside of Mayweather, Martinez is the next best guy. Pac's fought at 154. Martinez is willing to fight at 154. I don't see why this isn't a fight that needs to be made.

He may, or he may not. I think Pac has a lot better chance than you seem to believe. But, that's why they fight the fights. At this point, they're the best two active fighters in the sport. They both are have fought and had success at 154. I don't see why this fight isn't made.

                    • The guy that wrote that article sounds like a freakin *******. He talks about shutting up JMM. JMM has every right to say what he wants. He's the man because he's given Manny and us better fights than any one Pac has fought with so far. Let Marquez talk without hating on the man. As for JMM, he's got to be over the hill now. A third fight is an insult to Manny because he looks like a bully for getting revenge against an old fighter. We've never seen him fight Shane, so he might as well fight him if he's going to fight an old fighter.
