Would Joe Calzaghe beat Marvin Hagler?

    I think he would.

Think about it....Hagler first of all had a hard time with Vito Antuofermo, and couldn't take the title from him the first time. Vito is a natural 147 or 154 pound fighter, much smaller than Hagler. I know, Marvin Hagler switched up styles after that fight, but if Hagler tried to brawl with Calzaghe he'd have an even harder time?

Also, Calzaghe is a much bigger sized fighter than Leonard, who beat Hagler too. Calzaghe is fast and he's very good defensively.

    I agree.

Calzaghe will be too much for Hagler.

I have to say, Calzaghe is one of the most underlooked and overrated fighters ever...today's fighters at 168 are taking his leftovers...and Calzaghe would beat Jean Pascal, Andre Ward, all of them.

Joe C would do it as much as I can see the future responses as things like Hagler ko 1.

Joe would have been too fast and awkward while keeping a good pace he would have been able to easily slip and get out of the way of Hagler's shots.

Like u already said, Hagler changed up his style after Vito. And in the Leonard fight, he gave away rounds by being an idiot and fighting the first 4 rounds orthodox. And, by this point, he was on a decline in his ability. It's very famous fact that Leonard picked Hagler becuz Hagler was weakening. As long as he came in there to fight Hagler would win. Joe ain't hurting Hagler but vise versa is very possible and very likely.

            That's not a fact - rather, a rumour.

Leonard only had one bout in 5 years and if anything, Leonard was the fighter who was past prime.

            Stop being an idiot.

Come on now! Joe Calzaghe has one of the best chins in all of boxing.

Leonard beat Hagler, I could care less about the intangibles....in boxing, winning is winning.

And Joe Calzaghe knows how to do that.
