It is plainly obvious why Arum engineered the Margarito money-fest.

Because Arum is well-aware that the day Manny actually fights Mayweather will be his last payday, and it will be the end-of-the-line for the Manny-train. Manny will get what Williams got..... EXPOSED !!

According to New York Newsday, Floyd Mayweather Jr. is open to a possible move to middleweight for a fight with WBC/WBO champion Sergio Martinez. Mayweather returned to action on Saturday night, dominating Shane Mosley over twelve rounds to win a unanimous decision.

After the fight was over, Mayweather was asked about some possible options - if a fight with Manny Pacquiao is not made. One reporter asked Mayweather about the possibility of moving up to 160-pounds to fight Martinez, who recently beat Kelly Pavlik for the titles. Mayweather surprised everyone by stating "it's possible."

Mayweather has won titles at 130, 135, 140, 147 and 154. Martinez is not a big middleweight, but he is a lot bigger and stronger than Mayweather. Mayweather could be bluffing to make a deal with Pacquiao. Several years ago, when Mayweather was fighting at 140-pounds, he was demanding a fight with Winky Wright, who at the time was the unified champion at 154. When it came time to make the deal, Mayweather's demands were so one-sided that he couldn't have been serious.

He beat an undeserving welterweight BUM, for a vacant title at JMW, and yet only came in weighing 144. That exhibition match was a joke.

And yet, according to 60 minutes, Manny is now an 8-division champion.

Pacquaio isn't frowned on for not fighting middleweights. Pac is frowned on for fighting for and capturing cheap titles and calling it history. Pac is the WBC 154 champ. Martinez has a lineal claim to that very belt. Why not fight him if he's willing to come down to 154. He's meeting Pac in his division. Its not like he's asking Pac to come to middleweight. Plus, Margarito is taller and naturally bigger the Maravilla. So to say Pac is too small for Martinez when he wasn't to small for Margarito is a bit hypocritical. Maybe its not about Maravilla being too big. But, its about him being too good. And if that's the case, its ducking.

Either, Manny is a deserved title-holder, or, HE IS NOT !!

If Manny is really a JMW champion.....
1.) THEN HE NEED'S TO MAN UP !! for once, and defend it
2.) Admit that he did not become a JMW champion by beating an undeserving, mediocre, welterweight, for a vacant title.

Either of those two options is fine, but while 60 minutes tells me that Manny is a JMW champion, then he needs to man up and start acting like one.

Enough with the cheating of history, just enough !!

If this fight happens, it will be because Ross Greenberg and HBO are sick and tired to the Floyd-Manny bull**** and they are plain ready to make a PPV mega-fight. 154 WBC Super Welterweight title is not supposed to be easy, it should be a challlenge right. No one at HBO respects Margarito as a worthy champion contender today, so that vacant title means jack. If Manny fights Sergio in 2011, then he can lay a true claim to History and pick up the true Middleweight crown too, all he has to do it come in under 154lbs, that's all.

Speed kills and we know that Manny is not going to benefit himself by putting on extra pounds so just come in fast and deadly at 148 or so with the confidence that Freddy Roach and your coaching corner can orchestrate another winning game plan. Martinez is nice, but he has and can be beaten, just believe it and make history for all time with an eighth and ninth weight class
