True. I just hope he can hold out atleast for a year (maybe next fall). I think he should take Pirog next, and then push for it.

He can, but Arum has a point. You can't keep facing big men back to back. I say take the Mosley fight...which will be a cake walk...then go for Martinez. Mosley vs Pacquiao would be like a sparring season...allowing Pac to stay active and not take any damage. I say this because I really think Margarito and Cotto fights affected Manny more than most think.

Sergio's same size with Margarito shouldnt be a problem dropping to 150 lbs. I thought Sergio is bigger, more powerful, slick, has better skill than Pac? so it shouldnt be hard for him to beat Pac. wso give pac 150 lbs and beat him badly!

I couldn't have said it better! All these things are true.

So obviously weight is not the issue that Freddie Roach keeps making it out to be. The idea of a catchweight is that it is supposed to be handicap for both fighters to sort of even the playing field. If I'm Martinez, I'd just tell Pacquiao straight up that if he wants a fight then he can fight at his preferred weight but he has to let him fight at his weight and lets get it on.
Well said, everyone keeps talking about how Martinez is slick and big and trouble for Pac. Pac is also a tough style for Martinez. Martinez has never fought anyone with the handspeed, quick feet, and combination punching anywhere near what Pac can do. Pac has a chance in this fight. If you can brake somebody's face with a punch and you are as fast as Pac you have a chance against most guys anywhere near your size. Lets not forget Sergio is open to be hit himself and he has to really wind up to punch with power, so its no given he wins this fight, although I give him the edge because Pac's defense sucks when he is backpedelling and Martinez timing is amazing.

He will vacated, give it time he just won a little bit over a week ago.

Im sure Tony had no issues make 150 although he said he struggled to make 147, 150 isnt that bad cuz hes been fighting his entire career at 147 basically.

Martinez on the other hand has been at 154 for quite some time and going down in weight will affect him badly

Not only that but although both are the same size martinez is wider and has more muscle mass then Tony.

150 didnt affect Tony, 150 will affect Sergio a lot and Sergio will most likely show up looking like a sexy corpse.
The four pounds isn't the issue for Pac, that's just the smokescreen he will hide behind.

Its the style they don't like because they know he will most likely lose big.

Same reason JMM is not an option.

            Its the style.

              I see.
Not to talk **** but I think it would be kinda cheap if all Sergio did was stay on the outside and fire jabs and straight rights. I mean how pitiful would a guy 20lbs bigger and 3 inches taller look doing that against a guy he is bigger than.

I hope Martinez is a sportsman and tries to mix it up every once in a while...which is what I feel he will do.

Pac has too many options at 147 and he gets to call all the shots not sexy Sergio or DiBella who is a joke of a promoter.
Pacquiao has no business being considered WORLD CHAMPION at a weight he cannot make.

Robinson gave up 15 plus pounds to and went for Maxim
Langford was legendary for taking of guys who outweighed him by 15-20 plus lbs.
Duran went for Haglar Middleweight strap

and the list goes on and on. With the exception of Ali, most came up short....which is why I feel Manny has nothing to lose. On top of that...those guys, even in defeat, were highly praises.... adding to there legacy for taking on such risk. Even if Manny were to lose, I feel he still wins because we
don't talk about Robinson losing or Armstrong coming up short...rather we praise them for having the balls to even take those risk.
Manny has nothing left to prove he has done it all over again, what else can you ask for him fight the Klitschko brothers???

Yup! Just a little while ago they were bragging about how
great Pac is for beating down Margarito but now when Martinez
want to put his middle weight title up and Pac to put his Junior
Middle Weight tile up, it's a problem. That's Martinez's title.
If Pac didn't want to fight there, he should have just gave up
the title as soon as he won it. Pac is looking more and more
like a fraud everyday. That's not hate either but clearly a fact.
