Floyd gets random testing, Pac gets 15 rounds. Fair enough.

There is always a referee to stop the fight if it is a lopsided beating by either man.

        lol,

Do you even have a point with this?

          Did Margarito stop throwing punches?

I don't recall him sitting helpless on the ropes.

No, even if the fight is not one sided the 3 extra rounds are very dangerous. Otherwise we would still see 15 round fights. Extra rounds can only create more chances for a bad hit. Look it's simple, we don't regress we look for ways to make the sport safer a 15 round fight is just a step back.

Some doctors have said there are.

But if you're so inclined to have better testing,

why not just go full year round random for all fighters?

That makes more sense to me and would certainly help out in your crusade to clean up the sport.

Singling out one athlete never works.

But in case you're wondering, boxers have died since the inception of the 12 round rule.

Should we change from 12 rounds to 10 rounds now?

the saftey net is the referee he can even stop the fight as early as the 9th round as long as it's not the referee in the pac margarito fight. The good referees would know if they have to stop. Some referee even stops it on the very first round. 15 rounds is only necessary if it is a cat and mouse fight. When to boxers are playing hide and seek.

Even in mma, if the fighter ain't throwing or not doing anything the ref can call a stoppage even in the 1st round.

A good ref can make this 15 rounder safe =)

Provide evidence the sport is safer with 12 rounds instead of 15.
