Floyd gets random testing, Pac gets 15 rounds. Fair enough.

No, even if the fight is not one sided the 3 extra rounds are very dangerous. Otherwise we would still see 15 round fights. Extra rounds can only create more chances for a bad hit. Look it's simple, we don't regress we look for ways to make the sport safer a 15 round fight is just a step back.Comment

There's a reason they were taken out just like a lot of aspects of boxing have changed. We do not need to go a step back in boxing. There are no dangers in an olympic style of drug testing. On the other hand 3 extra rounds can cause severe damage to a boxer that's why the sport no longer has 15 round fights. Jesus how is that hard to understand?
But if you're so inclined to have better testing,
why not just go full year round random for all fighters?
That makes more sense to me and would certainly help out in your crusade to clean up the sport.
Singling out one athlete never works.
But in case you're wondering, boxers have died since the inception of the 12 round rule.
Should we change from 12 rounds to 10 rounds now?Comment

Even in mma, if the fighter ain't throwing or not doing anything the ref can call a stoppage even in the 1st round.
A good ref can make this 15 rounder safe =)Last edited by Spoon23; 11-20-2010, 12:00 PM.Comment
