I agree, this is getting ridiculous. it seems you have to have a loss in your last five fights to fight Manny Pacquiao. I realize that no matter what there will be people that will justify him picking his opponents, so why get mad.

Let me tell you why Mosely doesnt deserve a payday with Manny. Mosley was coming off a ko win over Mayorga and a ko win over Margarito. After witnessing those two fights a May vs Mosely fights made since in the ring as far as a fight and from a money stand point. Given Mosleys two fight before floyd that ended in ko's its understandable that FLoyd got WOBBLED, Mosley has a ko punch.

After the fight *******s like yourself said Mosley was OLD, and that he didnt have it anymore. Then when Mosley struggle with a contender fighter and actually lost in my eyes. *******s said that fight Proved that shane didnt have it....THIS IS COMING FROM PACS FANS...they said Mosle is old...FLoyd fans didnt say it...Pac fans did..


After losing two fights in a row, who in there right mind would pay to see Mosley get beat again for the third time in a row???

Dumbest article I feel Ive ever read here on Boxscene. Basically, he deserves the fight because being a "nice guy" merits him a payday. Nowhere in this lame a$$ article did it mention WHY he deserves this shot. Also, he calls Marquez tiny.. Isn't Pacquaio smaller than Marquez? Marquez was too small for FMJ, but Pacquaio isn't. No sense.

i think Berto does ok. He is explosive and his signature punch (the uppercut) is one that lands with regularity on Pac. He can sldo throw explosive right hands. Berto is a good matchup.

Berto does ok at taking a beating against Pac. He won't take the punches well as Marg, so he'll get taken out instead of getting a broken eye socket.

Mosley was a career defining win for Floyd 6 months ago. Now, he's unworthy to fight Manny. The standards are that much higher for the best fighter in the world, I suppose.

So I guess getting you a** handed to you in one fight, looking horrible in another are terms for getting a meaningful fight. Oh wait, don't forget being suspended for over a year, having a dismal performance against a C level fighter at best and then getting a Championship fight in a division you've only had one fight in recently. Yeah that makes sense. Let's pick on the rusty and defeated fighters.

Funny how all of a sudden everyone is crazy bout Pacman when he was a 5-1 favorite to win his ridicuolous "title" fight anyway. Neither him nor Margarito were ranked at 154 at the time of the fight. 2 unranked welters fighting for the VACANT 154 lb title.. Sneaky enough that Pacman fights for the 154 pound strap that does NOT feature P-Will or Martinez. If Floyd would have fought anyone other than P-Will or Martinez he would have been certified v*gina. But no... not Pacman, he gets a PASS. Mayweather has fought fighters in their prime at their best and after big wins. He beat Corrales when they were both undefeated, Hatton same. Mosley after his destruction of Margarito. DLH after he destroyed Mayorga. Marquez (who gave Pacman nothing short of hell) after he destroyed Diaz. He fought both Judah and Baldomir to bury any doubt as to who was the man at that weight. Castillo after he had the upset of the year against Stevie Johnston in 2000 and by that time had defended his title 3 times. Gatti after he got the better end of the Gatti-Ward saga and had defended twice. Floyd was beating bricks off HOF great Genaro Hernandez in 1998 and Pacman was getting KTFO on Sept. 17th, 1999. Pac beat Margarito pretty much after he got pummeled by Mosley, Cotto after he looked like damaged goods against Margarito and Clottey... Oh yeah, and DLH and Hatton after they had big losses to WHO?? Floyd Mayweather. Clottey came off a loss to Cotto and was granted a fight with Pac.

...So moral of the story is... Pacman's a nice guy, lets glorify his achievements.

Floyd is an arrogant *******, he deserves no credit. Pac will fight all of TOP RANK's fighters... Floyd will fight none of them... hmmm maybe some of you should look into why that is?? Maybe because the guy who ALWAYS get a PASS is Bob Arum. He never gets blamed for any of his actions...or inactivity that is.. Since he and Floyd split they have never been able to do business and neither want the other to make any money off the other. Yet Floyd is the one to blame...not BOB, he is just the promoter, he is just doing his innocent little job... NAIVE! If Bob Arum didn't exist, BOXING would be a better place
