Why is everyone dead-set against this? I know Mosley has slipped, but he is still reasonably effective at 147. He has power and speed. A good chin etc. I wouldn't read too much into his fight with Mora. Shane never looked any good at 154 and always struggles with "boxers"
Pac will trade at some point and that's when Shane is effective. He likes to trade. He likes a dog-fight. He wants to go toe to toe and match his speed and power against yours.

We all know mosley is old and past prime, but why didnt he get the same treatment while fighting Floyd. Just in fairness people should also say floyd beat a past prime mosley.
Mosley has too much money already, he had fought most of the cash cows out there, why does he need more money, let other people take a chance

A fight with Mosley will do the same, probably 1.2 to 1.4m. Who else other than Floyd Jr can he do 1.4m against? Nobody! Everything you stated may be true to an extent however it has nothing to do with my question, dumb a$$...

No it won't. I'd bet real money that SSM vs Pac wouldn't even hit one million PPV buys. Shane is a recognisable name, but he's not a huge draw. Not on Margarito's level. That fight was in Texas, in a stadium and had the Mex revenge factor going for it. I predicted that it would do good buys 1.4 or over when everyone else on here was saying no way.

But if he fights Mosley, we all know Mosley can punch because he rocked Floyd Jr. Mosley would only have a punchers chance but it's more of a chance than Bradley or Berto would have (and I like Bradley, just think he is too small and doesn't punch hard enough)....
i think Berto does ok. He is explosive and his signature punch (the uppercut) is one that lands with regularity on Pac. He can sldo throw explosive right hands. Berto is a good matchup.

I just want someone to admit Mosley was past prime before Cotto and before Wright. He got a lucky break from Margarito. But overall he is still past prime.
Dont you see the double standards here. Hes either past prime or not.
