why does Roy Jones get a pass for ducking all the fighters that he did?

Roy's actions were never defined as ducking because there wasn't 1,000 internet sites where an individual blogger can express how they feel about fighters they like and fighters they don't without being held accountable. You get journalism vs opinionated blogging.

As an example, the boxing media held roy and bernard accountable for them not fighting. Imagine if that were today. Some clown would put make himslef a "boxing insider" and, depending who he liked more, would blog crap like BHOP is ducking, Roy is chicken.

Roy Jones set the precedent for Mayweather to do what he does.

You know I have made an exhaustive list of fights he did not make while campaigning at SMW. There's plenty of fighters Jones didn't fight.

He did fight Vinny Paz though.

Agreed though Dariusz M at 175 is the major name missing for me.

no but there were plenty of journalists who covered boxing and there were plenty who really ripped Jones back in the day for his opposition,I remember Michael katsz claiming that Jones was a disgace to his sport and a disgrace to his talent on a build up package to one of jones's fights(think it was against eric lucas)

Even if he had fought these people he supposedly ducked there would have only been 1 outcome. Prime Roy was a beast.

Oh my, lets go.....Virgil Hill, Mike McCallum, VCinny Pazienza, James Toney, Antonio Tarver, Sergui Mosa, Julio Gonzales, Clinton Woods, Bernard Hopkins, John Ruiz, .........etc. Roy fought many good fighters, many whom were world champions or on there way to being champs.....Montell Griffin, Reggie Johnson, Lou DelValle, so shut up with this thread. Calzaghe was a nobody back then, Roy would have blitzed Benn, Eubank. Floyd also has beaten many fighters. You guys just like to start fires without finding the proper argument to support your nonsense. Ill be here all week, make sure to tip your waiter.
