LOL! Cotto wanted nothing to do with Floyd after he sat ringside and watched Floyd murked his opponent live in person. You forgot he wasn't ready for Floyd at 140 when they wanted him to fight Floyd?

Cotto never made him an offer to fight him at 140. Cotto or his team have never made Floyd an offer for a fight. Cotto's own team said he wasn't ready for a fighter like Floyd in 2005. His own team and analyst said he wasn't ready for a fighter like Floyd's caliber.

Why would Floyd do business with a guy who owes him millions and a guy who he felt was holding him back in his career? Arum is going to make a guy rich who just left his company and a guy he hates. That makes a lot of sense for both guys. When Floyd left Arum to do his own thing... Floyd never got the opportunity to fight any of the Top Rank fighters.

oh no cotto saw mayweather destroy gatti! i guess he's scared. yea he was probably about as scared as he was of alfonso gomez who also destroyed gatti. did you forget floyd wasn't ready for cotto at 147 when they were both big stars, in their prime, in the same division?

arum wanted to make a mayweather margarito fight and mayweather wanted no part of that so he took off to make his own easy fights. arum was jeopardizing mayweather's undefeated record i guess you could call that holding him back.

Floyd wasn't ready for Cotto? LOL! Cotto is easy work for Floyd and Cotto was never a threat to Floyd. The dude doesn't even have good boxing fundamentals. Don't be ****** to compare Gomez to a prime Mayweather.

Arum was not going to make a fight with Floyd after he left him to do his own thing. What easy fights? He got the fights he wanted under Arum (Hatton and DLH) and made more money without Arum and became a superstar without Arum.

Tell me why guys like DLH and Floyd became bigger stars and made more money after they left TR.

Floyd would not be making at least 40M per fight and be the star he is today if he was still with Arum. Why can't people understand that?

floyd beat mosley who beat margarito who beat cotto so floyd gets credit for beating them both

look who's left! a lightweight and a 38 year old mosley. perfect!

Floyd has beaten the number one ranked WW twice. Has Manny beaten a WW ranked number 1. You can only go with the situation at that time. Floyd retired. Speculating that he did so to avoid Cotto and Margarito is just "SPECULATING"

He couldn't even fight cotto now if he wanted to, or Margarito...he would be instantly discredited.

What you guys really don't get is that all your arguments that you make with regards to Floyd can be made for any fighter and Manny P especially.

I mean the guy avoided a direct callout from Joan guzman to find out who reigned supreme at 130.

He waited 6 years to rematch JMM and still counldn't convince us.

                  He fought David Diaz????????????????????

He fought Ricky Hatton after Floyd KO'd him, and he was severly wobbled against.....wait for it.....Juan Lazcano?????

He fought Miguel Cotto @ a catchwweight of 145 (he's now at 154) coming off a brutal beating, and a controversial win aginast Clottey (for a paper belt that was essentially done so Bob could pass it to Pacquaio) were he was battered and cut severely.

He fought an emaciated (and there is no argument) ODLH.

                  He fought Josh Clottey.

Cotto, Clottey, ODLH and Hatton all fighters with no right hand and slow feet (cept Hatton). Stylistically perfect for a quick footed SP to gobble up.

Now he fights Margarito. A guy who has taken alot of punishment throughout his career. Consider how many shots he has taken against the likes of Williams, Cotto, Clottey?? And finally he was cracked like an egg by Shane and was inactive due to his cheating. Came back at 154 given weight struggles and fought at a CW of 150. again he is a pedestrian fighter.

If Floyd signed to fight Cotto tm you would be trashing that fight. Cotto is overrated. He is a big puncher who has a decent jab. He can't take it to the chin, and his hands and feet are way slower than Floyd's. He has a punchers chance against Floyd. That's it. How often does the fighter with a punchers chance win the fight??

Baldomir was a good win in 2006 for wifebeater, because it was for the lineal title at 147 lbs. Marg would've been a good win in 2006, because he was a ****en beast with mad hype behind him.

So who should wifebeater have fought in 2006???

The answer is so ****in easy and *****s don't just ****en get it:

Wifebeater should've fought them both you dumb ass *****s!!!

When could this fight have taken place??? The fight could've happened when wifebeater decided to retire so that margarito and cotto could beat each other's brains in.
I understand that Floyd isn't exactly Ghandi or MLK outside of the ring, but can the man get at least a LITTLE credit? He beats the number 1 (Baldomir) and number 2 (Judah) fighters at 147 in 2006. Beats Hatton and De La Hoya in 2007. THEN CRITICS ARE GOING TO ASK HIM AFTER BEATING HATTON AND DE LA HOYA TO GO AFTER THE UP AND COMERS IN A DIVISION IN WHICH HE CONVINCINGLY BEATS THE NUMBER ONE AND TWO GUYS A MERE YEAR BEFORE???!!! TS, in Floyd's position, would it really make much sense in that point in time?
