He got paid more with the PPV revenue on top of the 8 million. TO BOOT, HE WAS FIGHTING THE LINEAL CHAMP IN BALDO. C'mon, Floyd's antics outside of the ring are idiotic for the most part, but give the man credit.

I don't know how much more proof you need. In a way, his rankings did drop because he became number 2 when Baldo beat him, THUS MAKING BALDO NUMBER 1
you don't just drop 1 place every time you lose. especially if you lose to an argentinian journeyman.

to answer TS, I think Floyd did right in fighting Baldomir as he became the undisputed lineal champ at that time, I could even understand the hatton fight for the $$$, the wrong move was retiring after hatton without really closing the show, anyway it would have been fine and we can live it at that, but Mayweather came back ....

back then Margarito, Williams, Cotto were great challenges...

now only sensible fight for him in terms of his monicker of Money is with PAC, not to mention that it is legacy cementing fight ...

i've gone over the time line so many times that it's just getting silly.

a margarito-mayweather ppv would have made more money than a baldomir-mayweather ppv almost for sure. no one knew who the hell baldomir was. margarito had been around for a long time and had a big following. he was also on hbo, showtime and espn numberous times while baldomir was only on twice. margarito being mexican would also generate a lot more buys than baldomir being argentinian.

more ppv buys against margarito=more money for floyd. oh well guess he doesn't care about money and would rather fight baldomir.

And I'm not really sure why you keep mentioning Baldo's background when describing him as a journeyman. Simply using "journeyman" on its own gets your point across. Racist much?

And who do you think Baldo got the lineal champion status from? It was from Zab bro...

As you know, Mayweather was already having contractual issues with Bob Arum after the Judah bout. If you're having problems with your boss, would really want to make the man more money in your upcoming bout or part ways?

As for your statment, "no one knew who the hell baldomir was," are you really insinuating that people were clamoring for Floyd to fight Margarito at that time? Brian Kenny of ESPN even stated to FMF, "BUT WHY PUT THIS GUY (JUDAH) IN FRONT OF YOU; WHY NOT FIGHT BALDOMIR"?

yea you aren't sure at all. i was saying he is argentinian because no one knew where the hell he came from. there are a lot of "journeymen" floating around on the circuit but when an obscure journeymen from argentina upsets you it's even worse. it had nothing to do with race. pathetic.

These idiots on here also forget Arum wanted Floyd to re-sign with him if he wanted to fight Cotto, Margarita, and Hatton. He did the same **** to Cotto for him to get a fight with Manny and did the same thing to Margarita for him to get a fight with Cotto.

do i really need to say anything else i mean you just proved he ducked him. he would rather pay 750k then fight margarito for a career high payday.

he was only having problems because arum wanted him to fight margarito and he wanted none of that. why don't you understand this?
