Margarito or Baldomir in 2006, which fight should Floyd have fought???

i got no problem with floyd fighting baldo.

baldo was ring champ because of zab's lame ass.

don't have a problem with 2007 either. hatton and delahoya was big time money.

floyd shouldn't have retired when marg and cotto was still there though. the retirement was his way of avoiding those fights.

I agree completely,Floyd should have fought Margarito too!!A win over Margarito would have gotten him major respect!!Margarito ran him from his own interview,in the words of Akuma "shameful"!!

exactly.. fights w/ hatton and hoya were understandable because they were big money fights.

beating baldomir got wifebeater the lineal title so that was cool too.

but the straight duckage of margarito and cotto is unexcusable. wifebeater got his wish... he got to fight dlh and then cashed in on hatton. but he shouldn't have retired to duck cotto or margarito.

Baldomir was a good win in 2006 for wifebeater, because it was for the lineal title at 147 lbs. Marg would've been a good win in 2006, because he was a ****en beast with mad hype behind him.

I'm sure it's been broken down to you before, but let me help you out......

Before Zab and Baldi fought, Zab was champ and so was Baldi (Don't remember the commish off top).
The plan was for Zab to get Baldis belt, then fight Floyd for all the marbles. Zabs dumb azz ended up losing, but the plans were set. Zab was gonna be undisputed, but when he lost Baldi became undisputed.
In a nutshell (On paper) Baldi was the MAN!

Baldi was not THE MAN in the division by no means (Neither was Diaz, Oscar, Ricky, "Cotto was a good fight but the 2 pounds was puzzy, Clottey or Margs.
It was all about money, belts and being the man according to the books.

I agree he should have atleast fought Cotto (Pre Brick beating), but margs was nobody at the time (I think we know now how he became SOMEBODY)

Marg loaded and Boosted on God knows what................. 80% chance Marg beats BOTH guys period....

2 reasons he did't figfht Marg..

1. Better biz move.
&

2. The same reason Manny and team waited for Serg to be stripped. Then sign to fight Marg for his belt right after that.
both non ranked, one has never fought there to be ranked, all the guys that were ranked and had been fighting there got skipped..

"If Marg and Cotto were who they/you say they were, why are they not still that guy?
Floyd and Manny fight HYPE fighters now, the bigger the check the better the comp is hyped. Both guys...
You think To Ranked would have allowed a manny martinez fight?
