bad thread.
do you even watch pac? statistics lie. pac LET margs, clottey, and cotto hit him just to make a statement in spots, that's when the majority of those punches are landed.
too easy.Comment

What's so funny? Floyd is the epitome of a defensive fighter, Manny, personification of offense. You see it posted all the time: "Manny's offense is this or that....Floyd's defense is the best all time" Floyd doesn't win his fights on offense, he wins by making his opponent change their strategy due to his DEFENSE. Pac uses offensive momentum to drown his opponent........case closed.

Margarito averaged 53 punches per rd, only 3 coming in the last rd in which he was KO'd...there were several rds in which he landed 69 punches.Comment

I hate it when Pac fans say that. Sure he did so to test their power early on, but don't act as if he let it happened on purpose thereafter.Comment

You make good points, that is true its been a long time since he fought an all out volume puncher. My point is regardless to there style he does reduce the output of his opponent, where his opponent would normally throw alot more he reduces there output even if they normally only throw 40-50 punhes a round they will throw roughly 25 a round. Beause of this, my belief is he will reduce Pac's output, even if its just to an extent, he will reduce it. Will it make a difference to the outcome of the fight? We'll see.May I ask why you think that?
Pac is a volume puncher. When was the last time Floyd fought a volume puncher? He lowers the output of counter punchers, and grapplers and what have you but when has he ever lowered the output of a volume puncher? When was the last time he faced one? Castillo? 8 years ago? Chavez threw 100 punches in plenty of rounds against him....
I have yet to really see him reduce the output drastically of a volume puncher. Not saying he can't, but haven't really seen it. So I don't know if he can or can not plus he is slowing down now, so is Pac. So I really don't know...Comment

I totally agree here, i don't find Judah, Berto(especially), Alexander or Pacqiauo slick, the term 'slick' gets thrown around too lightly imo. I would say Judah and Pac are about as slick as one another.I don't think Pac is slick at all either, however some idiots on here who try to make it seem like Pac has no D are the same ones that say Zab Judah is slick. How in the hell is Judah slick, Pac is just as slick as Judah. So if Judah is slick then Pac is slick.
I hear Alexander is slick, but I am like he was getting hit so much by Kotelnik. Who couldn't even find Amir Khan. Hell Kotelnik beat Alexander more decisively IMO than what he beat Maidana. But, yet Alexander is slick? How so? Pac is just as slick as him.
But, is just as slick if not slicker than all 3 that I mentioned is just that he is also more offensive minded. It just that people who want to take shots at Pac are the same ones who want claim Judah, and/or Berto, and/or Alexander as slick.
And, putting numbers out there doesn't really determine slick either. I don't think nobody is calling the K-bros slick. Yet somebody put their compubox numbers up. It will show opponents barely landing on them. Does that make them slick? Really?
But, even trying to compare Pac to Floyd to see how slick he is... It is just ridiculous. Floyd is one of the top 10 greatest defensive fighters of all time. So how you going to compare Pac, who nobody is mistaken for a defensive wizard to one of the 10 greatest defensive fighter of all time?
Yeah the comparison is dumb, incase you misunderstood that wasnt the comparison i was making, all i was focusing on was the fact Mayweather will most likely reduce your output.
You say nobody is mistaking Pac for a defensize wizard but you really would not believe what the commentator on UK Sky Sports broadcast was saying last saturday lol I think he must post on here.Comment
