I'd also like to mention that while a lot of people think Mayweather lost his first fight against Castillo, I had that fight a draw. Mayweather won 5 of the first 6 rounds, so I don't see how ANYONE can call that a robbery.

So maybe my point about Mayweather not liking pressure fighters is completely off the mark. Maybe it's pressure fighters who can take a punch, which is still Hatton, but if Mayweather outboxed Castillo twice (one being close and one being a wide margin), I don't know that anyone within a reasonable weight difference can beat Mayweather.

has hatton faced anyone as slick as floyd? everyone is easy to point that all hatton has to do is press mayweather...which is a strong possiblility. but equally as strong of an argument is that mayweather will just slip and counter hatton and stay on his toes...can he do it for 12 rounds..yes he can. mayweather can win this ugly too...all he has to do is catch hatton comming in then tie hatton up so that it will negate hatton's in fighting.

ricky's got a bag full of tricks on the inside but so does mayweather although i doubt floyd can stay in the pocket for too long trying to shoulder roll ricky's shots.

ricky is definatley going to try to go for the body to slow pretty boy up which will open him up for floyd's uppercuts.

the ref will also play a big part as well. will he be the kind of ref that breaks you up right after a clinch or will he be the kind that makes you fight your way out...these things have to be considered as well.

also how will floyd react when he hits ricky right on the button and doesn't flinch? what happens to ricky if all he can depend on are body shots because he can't hit floyd square on the jaw and is cathing a lot of downward punches and uppercuts?

...we'll see, this is going to be a great fight if and when it happens.

I do know what you mean, thats a valid point.
haha, well it's hard to get clips of his sometimes, which is why I asked. It sucks like hell too that there's pretty much nothing of him in his early prime on film. Mostly the footage out there now is of his middleweight and post-comeback years. Too bad.

All I will say is that it will take something very special to beat Ricky Hatton, and I was saying before he even turned pro.

I haven't seen anybody in the flesh with natural talent like he had, I saw him in the amateurs in the flesh and it wasn't difficult for me to work out that he was special due to his raw talent and instinct.

Floyds never been a big puncher, even down at super-featherweight I didn't consider him to be a knock-out artist. He hit's fighters with a lot of shots and KO's them that way (a lot like Hatton!), but I'm still on the thought of "We don't know what he can do @140lbs yet", and I'll keep thinking this way untill we see how he fares against a top 5 super-lightweight.

I'm not a Mayweather hater or anything, I enjoy watching him fight... But I wasn't overly impressed with how Mayweather got on with Corley (Considering what Cotto did to Corley several months later)... And I always said that Gatti was just there for the taking.

mayweather is not a one punch ko artist but he inflicts alot of punishment thru accumulation also i think people underestimate his power and speed every fighter he fights always says "i knew he fast but not this fast " his speed alone will give hatton fits
also the pbf does not need power to win a decision against hatton, hatton has to get inside but that is easier said than done he will have to eat alot of punches from maywether to get inside i don't think what he did against tszyu will work against pbf .....as far as pbf fighting in manchester i think he should do it only if it is an american referee cortez, nady, or smoger

i think mayweather's punches have got to sting for him to be effiective (that means his hands have to be in good condition...he is prone to having brittle hands). that's a good way for hatton to pause and play into PBF's tempo. because if he doesn't get hatton's respect than ricky will just keep walking through. one thing about floyd is that he is always ultra sharp when it comes to big fights (hernandez, manfredy, corrales, castillo 2, and gatti)..with hatton he better be razor sharp cuz that boy from manchester only knows to come full steam ahead.

i think some of you are underestimated how skilled ricky hatton is, ive been watching boxing along time and he has one if not the most devastating body worker ive ever seen! and before the tzoo fight he boxed beautifully what needs to happen is THE FIGHT TO GET ON! also mayweather is weak on the left hand side, people may disagree but i certainly think he can get caught there!

Ha....you all call PBF "The master"...I refer you to an Eazy E reference to Dre.....

"The Master is simply just an actor....."

Hatton will beat the piss out of PBF ....end of story
