the only problem will be making the fight happen. billy graham (rickys trainer) and ricky want this fight and are extremly confident about winning but it all comes down to money.........lets hope floyd dosnt price himself out because this fight has to happen, its THE ONE EVERYONE wants to see.

Floyds never been a big puncher, even down at super-featherweight I didn't consider him to be a knock-out artist. He hit's fighters with a lot of shots and KO's them that way (a lot like Hatton!), but I'm still on the thought of "We don't know what he can do @140lbs yet", and I'll keep thinking this way untill we see how he fares against a top 5 super-lightweight.

I'm not a Mayweather hater or anything, I enjoy watching him fight... But I wasn't overly impressed with how Mayweather got on with Corley (Considering what Cotto did to Corley several months later)... And I always said that Gatti was just there for the taking.
I didn't think you were a Mayweather hater, I understand a lot's up in the air until he beats a few more proven opponents at the higher weight classes. But like you said he KOs you through repeated punishment and that makes up for one-punch knockout abilty. The thing is that the way some people talk (not you) you think he was hitting guys with pillows.

I don't put any stock into the Corley outcomes either way. The guy is so flaky when he shows up to fight...either he's a world-beater or a chump. Sometimes this switches back and forth in the middle of a fight, even. It's why he is considered one of those "could of been" guys...no consistency.

I have said this before on this forum once:

If Hatton, Hattons Trainer and Frank Warren all want the fight. Then Mayweather somehow backs out of it (one way or another: Pricing himself out, dis*****g minor contractual things, moving up weight) then simply Mayweather is avoiding him.

Cos think about it, it cant be Hatton avoiding PBF if Hatton and the rest of the gang want this fight. Thats just not possible.

And i have heard that Hatton, Hattons Trainer, Frank WArren (promotor) all want the fight. So basically i will conclude by saying. If Hatton does not fight Mayweather soon, then Mayweather has backed out of the fight.

Yes, but the problems are that a) Hatton does not want the PBF fight right away, and wants at least one or two easy defences, and b) It doesn't matter what they want if they want to hold the fight at MEN, but odds are Floyd won't take that. A neutral site in the UK maybe, MSG for sure, but he won't go into the lion's den like Kostya did.

Floyd isn't just going to accept any foolish offer that Hatton makes. This is boxing, people will walk all over you unless you show a bit of backbone.

I think Hatton has all the attributes needed to beat Floyd and will definitely provide a tough challenge, but I would have Floyd as the favourite.

You can't use the first Mayweather-Castillo fight as a gauge on how to successfully box Mayweather, he hurt his shoulder very early in that fight (first or second round), that's the reason it was close.
If you look at the rematch where he was 100%, there was no question about Mayweather's dominance.
I don't see Hatton ever beating Mayweather. He doesn't have the skills or the speed to keep up with him.

dont know whether hatton has said he wants it now or not but ricky, billy graham, and frank warren all want the fight bad (very suprising for warren, he must be very confident). but this is not the point as floyd looks likly to face zab end of this year which means ricky has been over lookd.......for the time being. So ricky will have to face "easy" defences due to the other big guns being occupied with their own fights. the fight will take place in uk no doubt about it and floyd will have to realise this sooner or later. there is nowhere in the US even the world which would get 30,000+ so this is the most profitable venue. i agree it shouldnt be in manchester and have a non british referee that way PBF and all the haters have no excuses if it all works out for the hitman.

Ricky has fast feet and fast hands not on the level of Floyd but he's definetley faster than Castillo both with his feet and hands.
