I see the Klitschko propaganda machine is still in full force.

For the record, the thread starter's claims have no sources to back them up and his claim that Haye demanded 100% of the UK TV money is inaccurate and taken out of context (the irony is that his 'source' for the claim is Haye himself, in a video that can be seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PKH5JFTP3ws). According to Haye (the only 'source' the thread starter has on the claim or on any of the talks), he asked for 100% of the UK TV money after discovering that the offer that Wladimir Klitschko had put forward was not in fact a 50/50 split, but 50/50 for everything excluding the German TV money.

No doubt I'll be accused of being a Haye-Nuthugger, but I thought I'd counter the the propaganda that the thread starter likes to pander. We simply don't know what happened in the talks with any certainty and it's foolish to act like we do. I'd also like to add that I'm disgusted in Haye for taking the Harrison fight and I'll be boycotting it, although he remains a favourite of mine purely for his in-ring ability.

Haye will never fight Wlad while Dr. Steelhammer is in or close to his prime.

And, although Vitali is now well past his best, he's still far too good for the craven Haye to risk fighting.

Um....no it was including the German tv money. But Haye wanted MORE money than RTL would have generated.

            Source?

I'm not stating what Haye claims as a fact, I'm just pointing out that the only vague 'source' on the negotiations is Haye himself and Haye claims what I said. I am continually frustrated at posters on this forum claiming factuality based on hearsay. Please prove me wrong and back youself up.

Im using Haye's video as the source. You clearly misunderstood. The 50/50 split was on the table with RTL as the german tv network but Haye said he was talking to other networks in Germany and that "there was more money to be had".

I'll put my hands up and say you're right here, having re-watched the video (admittedly the last time I watched it was back in September). I can see Haye's point, but I can see the Klitschko perspective as well. In all honesty, speaking as a Haye fan, Haye's refusal to accept anything other than the maximum possible 50% split smacks of the realisation that he'll probably lose should he fight a Klitschko. That all said, I still dislike the claims of factuality being bandied around by certain Klitschko fans (the likes of whom you'd never see admitting they are wrong like I have here). Negotiation claims cannot be trusted in boxing unfortunately.

Im a Haye fan mate (or was). But I have swallowed humble pie on the whole issue a long time ago. I even wrote an article once praising Haye for his bravery but ive come to realise he and Booth are just businessmen. Haye wants to get as much money as possible before he gets knocked out by a Klitschko.

And I have a feeling, he may not even be willing to take the KO anymore. Hes talked about the Klits "needing him" and that he was happy with his career. That he'd already had his defining fight against Valuev (LOL). Audley is right, Haye is a false prophet.

Yes, he's just a loud mouthed fraud who doesn't back up his words.

He will beat Harrison easily enough, but he's yet to beat a good, prime heavyweight.

Now don't you feel ******? I guess that's how all the David Haye fans are though, they cling on to false statements by their hero and then when confronted by actual truth, they still say "well, you are right, but what do we know, they could both be right..." Your man is a liar and a coward when it comes to the Klitschkos, plain and simple.
