David Haye talks about "slave contracts" to cover up his cowardice!

The contract David Haye signed in the spring of 2009 was the standard for a voluntary opponent, with a rematch for the Klitschkos and an option for K-2 Promotions. It was similar to the contract Derek Chisora has signed.

However, the contract he ignored in May/June of THIS YEAR year was for a 50/50 share of all revenue and NO REMATCH CLAUSES OR OPTIONS. He turned it down and demanded ALL of the UK PPV revenue, which would mean he would have more than 50% of the total revenue.

Yet this liar David Haye keeps going on about "slave contracts", although There were no rematch clauses or options in the contract Wlad offered this year.

I think he's saying that to cover up his COWARDICE.

if it's all been done before why rake it up again?

As you can see I am a relatively new face on Boxing Scene and anything that was said in the media was vague at best. The saga became farcical a long time ago, both parties have played their part in breaking down communications. Basically as I see it now Haye is cashing in else where beforehand. Anticipate a 2011 match up between Haye and Wlad.

Haven't you been following the Haye-Klitschko negotiations on the boxingscene news stories and elsewhere?

All the information is here, just do a search through the old front page threads.

Haye's comments about "slave contracts" are for the purpose of fooling casual fans who haven't been following the negotiations.

Because he made comments YESTERDAY about "slave contracts" to fool people like you, who haven't been following it closely.

Don't you see that news thread about it on the from page?

I never said your original post was untrue, I merely asked where it was sourced from! So I haven't been "fooled" by anything I just asked where the facts on the contracts are from..... Instead of shooting me down just point me in the right direction and don't automatically assume someone is challenging you.

You've gone and told me to do my research. Fine! I was fully aware of the original contract details but hold my hands up in that I assumed the second contract was the same.

Either way Haye hints at a forthcoming retirement so he may as well sign up to what ever is put on the table as it's the only decent challenge out their for all involved (IMO).

*I've now seen the thread and it's Hayes word vs theres as ever on the "slave contract" issue but as said why not sign up to it, it could be an epic saga if he believes his own hype. As for the revenue split no one can argue with 50/50.... like I said I reckon Haye is just coining in before taking on the real challenge that is the Klits, it's nothing Wlad & Vitali haven't done themselves against weaker opponents in the past. Hopefully they sort it out soon as it's a fight I think most people want to see

Gaye will never have the balls to enter into the ring against either Klitschko. There are no options now but there were in their old contracts in 2009, that point is moot though because Gaye actually signed that contract and was set to fight Wlad for much less money, until he had a change of heart and peed his pants two weeks before the actual fight.

In addition Gaye always maintained (at least at first when he moved up to HW) that he wants to and needs to fight both bros to be considered the best. I remeber him saying he was "doing this for Dempsey, for Louis, blah... blah...".

I hope you're wrong as I then would lose all respect for him... As you've mentioned he needs to take them on the be considered "the best" and to be a champion of real note you have to aim for unification.

I think he really pulled out of the original fight due to the collapse of the PPV channel Setanta in the UK and they were funding the majority of his pay cheque.

Exactly. And if they offered Haye 100% of the revenue, he still wouldn't fight Wladimir, because he knows he'd be KOed.
