Resume wise, I agree with you but what will it take for him to get it? If Mayweather or Pacquiao refuse to fight him that shouldn't be held against him. They are in the same weight class so there is no excuse that he shouldn't get a big fight.

Suppose he gets worked over by Martinez, where does he fall then? Where does Martinez go?

Same question could be asked with Sergio. It's a little harder with Sergio but he can probably still make 154. The top two fighters in the media have no intentions getting in the ring with either of these two. Why should we continue to discredit fighters, simply because someone isn't willing to fight them. If Pac and Floyd have no intentions in fighting them I have to go with what have you done lately and I think it's safe to say that Williams/Martinez are fighting better opponents than Floyd or Manny.

It has to be an extremely impressive win for me to even consider that, but I can get where you are coming from. I think Williams' resume is better than both Floyd and Pac's above 147 if you ask me. I'm not saying overall, so don't get your panties in a bunch pac tards.

this pac and floyd refuse to fight him as a case to be #1 is idiotic.

                floyd just fought mosley.

                pac just fought cotto.

2 good wins better than anything williams has ever done.

                both fights were also recent.

just because pac and floyd is not fighting him doesn't mean pwill should be ahead of them.

that's so ******. pac has been a welterweight for about a year , not counting the delahoya fiasco.

mayweather just came back from retirement last year too.

you act like those 2 have been ducking pwill for years or some ****.

                just idiotic.

Williams beat a prime Margarito and that's a better win than over Cotto and Clottey. And if you aren't gonna give credit to Williams for beating Wright, then Floyd shouldn't get any for beating Mosley either. It's only fair.

If he beats Martinez convincingly i would slot him at a solid #5.
