I agree. Floyd would've beaten Margarito regardless.
It's his persona that drives people mad, and the same reason why people will never give him credit over his opponents.
De la Hoya- wasn't a big 154 fighter. His only recent win was Mayorga.
Hatton- too small.
Marquez- too small.
Mosley- too old.
We could do the same to Pacquiao through biased eyes.
Diaz- Diaz who? The weakest titleholder in the division.
De la Hoya- shot, old, weight-drained.
Hatton-never mentally the same. Mayweather took something out of him, no defense, bullrushes into everything.
Cotto- two pounds under 147, shot ever since Margarito beat him, cuts easily, stamina issues, blah blah blah.
Clottey- some said he would be overly defensive. Nobody thought it would actually happen. It did. Clottey showed up for the paycheck.
I'm not dissing anybody. Floyd and Pacquiao are both spectacular fighters who are in a class of their own. Out of all these fights, the only one I can't give full credit to the fighter is the one with Mayweather/Marquez. We all believed that it was gonna' be a mismatch, and it was. The other fights, Pacquiao was in regular betting odds.
Floyd's never an underdog in a fight, which is a big reason people are always reluctant to give him props after a victory.Comment
