Baldomir hadn't lost since 1999-2006. That was 19-0-2 going in to the Floyd fight, he was the lineal/Ring champion at welterweight.

Margarito had lost to Daniel Santos possibly twice and went on to lose to Paul Williams the year after Mayweather beat Baldomir. And look at Margarito now with 7 losses.
