He gave the match to Duran in SHORT NOTICE, they offered a amount of money that was SO GREAT, that he couldn't have refused...that's why Duran looked slow and fat...

Leonard is a evil man in this business..
Did you ever watched the first Sugar Ray VS. Duran fight. I've seen it more then 10 times & thought Sugar Ray should've been the winner. It was very close fight & it was a great fight for a 15 round fight. I had Sugar Ray winning 8 out of the 15 rounds. Sugar Ray out brawled the brawler in the first fight. Duran was the big name at that time, so he got the close decision win. But Sugar Ray really won that fight. The second fight Ray just out boxed him, NO MAS!!!

As for the Taylor fight...it was as great a fight as I've ever seen. Two awesome guys at their best.
Even as a Chavez fan.....I understood why Steele stopped it, but still thought he should have let it continue.

      Whitaker....yeah, that was a disgrace.
BUT....tell me how that changes what Chavez did throughout his career.

Ali got several bad decisions, late in his career....odes that change his greatness ?

      dont compare Chavez to Ali.
      thats like comparing a Pinto
      to a Lamborgini.

Yes but Ali won most of his big fights. Ali also beat some of the biggest legends in boxing. Chavez lost most of his big fights. That is the fact.

No man, I actually did't hahaha so I'm not gonna say anything about that, but I was just stating why Duran was so fat in the rematch..

            That's not true...

Ray Leonard fought as a prime-time network headliner before his fight with duran.
For Duran to get on prime-time network T.V., it was on the undercard.

Leonard was the media darling, even then....while Duran was more revered in the fight community.

Were you even a fight fan back then ? Sounds to me like you're getting this stuff second handed.

                C'mon, argue properly.

                I used an analogy.
