Chavez is somewhat overrated but he was also a great fighter...

The most overrated fighter in the history of the sport is no other then...

i don't have any hate for Chavez i just think he is overrated thats all......and most of the people that have problems with me saying he is overrated are mexicans......i have no hate for the guy just think he is overrated i saw some of his fights and don't really think he is as good as people made him out to be was a good fighter? yes. Was he one of the greats? no. but we all have our opinions just like i love James Toney and everything he does and have done but that don't mean everybody loves him and i'm sure people have there opinions about him and if he is bad or whatever but i don't call it hate i call it what it is an opinion...............

Chavez was aight but he never showed me no defensive skill all he did was come at you and rip you apart but if thats the case would Iran Barkley be one of the greatest to box ?

The Future its funny how you pay so much attention to me you call me a nuthugger cause i talk about James Toney so much you call me a *** when you give me karma but if i'm all of that why do you pay me so much attention ?

James Toney quote "those guys can never be like me julio ceaser chavez there not me i've defended my title more times in 11 months then any of them"

        their both somewhat over rated
becuz they lacked somewhat of a skill denfense
so they werent really complete fighters
but pure physical abilities like power, relentlessness, their ability to take punches is what makes them so great
they could take it as well as they dished it
they knew how to work what they had
and they didnt better then most could
even ones who do have the "complete package"

Sure we're cool. That's been forgotten by me, I'm a man & I will not dislike or hate someone forever. I enjoyed watching Duran more, I also enjoyed watching Chavez. I just thought that both fighter had problem with slick boxers.

            Ya, true that...

            but nobody can outbrawl them...

You can say they're somewhat not multi dimensional, but they were both great 15 round fighters

Especially Duran was a great 15 round fighter, I don't think Chavez ever had a 15 round fight, but yes Chavez was a great pressure fighter too.

I'm just judging on the Taylor-Chavez fight hahaha

If that fight went one more round NO WAY Taylor would've won...either way I'm not a Chavez fan or nothing but he was good fighter...

Ultimate is emailing Sanchez-Gomez, looking forward to seeing a Salvador Sanchez fight

That's bull**** abdiel. Duran had some great defense going at lightweight. He deflected most punches and nearly never got hit clean. It was when he moved up, got older and lost some of his speed and his reflexes that he had to rely on his iron chin.

At leightweight Duran was the total package and one of the greatest fighters ever. I can't see how anyone could overrate him.

Yes but taylor corner was very ****** for letting him brawl in the last 2 rounds. I don't think taylor would've survived if it was 15 rounds. I blame Taylor's corner for that fight & his career. Taylor could've been a great boxer, but he loved to brawl.
