In a fair market Berto is worth about 30-35% of the cut MAX, but I see a hard time seeing this fight get off if he doesn't get at least 40%

I guess it was to early for Bob to assume the economics would make it hard for this fight....
Just get it done cause Berto needs a good name on his resume and why the hell is he fighting once a year..

And yeah Berto isn't drawing flies to syrup right now, but he still is a young undefeated champion who has beat some decent fighters. He'd be a good name to have on a lot of people's resume. That has to be worth something.
I think Berto should get SOMETHING. Cotto should definitely get the bigger slice, but Berto shouldn't be bent expected to bend completely over in the cuts.

DiBella knows it, Arum knows it and most of the boxing fans know it. The Snobby super promoter wants to keep his fights in-house as DiBella points out. He is right and the fact that Arum shuts down the fight without talking to the promoters or fighters is obvious. He talks to the media, just like He was "negotiating" with HBO for the Mayweather fight without Mayweather.
Snob Arum is the problem here gentlemen, not Berto, not DiBella, not Cotto who hasn't received any offers from the snobqueen since the Foreman fight.
Uncle Snob is the problem here.Last edited by Pin Galarga; 10-26-2010, 02:55 PM.

whats a better fight for cotto???
2) a mosley rematch
3) a clottey rematch
4) a fight w/ the bradley/alexander winner at 147
5) a fight w/ the khan/maidana winner at 147
6) a fight w/ JCC jr is a huge event, but a weak fight
7) a fight w/ vanes matirosyan (whom cotto should easily outbox)
the only ones i can think of are martinez/pac/williams. fights cotto probably wont win.

This reminds me of what Dibella said about a couple months ago in regards to Caballero willing to lower his purse demands when it comes to fighting Gambos and Juan Ma. But the nuthuggers of those two guys keep saying Cab is pricing himself out. At least we heard his promoter say he's willing to be reasonable. Same thing here.
Although I will concede that we need to hear something from Caballero and Berto personally if you want me to be fair.

I fuckin hate Berto too, but I'm just recognizing real.
So give me a lowdown on who did Berto fight after B class opposition like Urango, who fought out of his weightclass, and Collazo. That's right no one, shut the *** up ****** your pathetic hate is downright dumb.Last edited by BMWM3P; 10-26-2010, 03:39 PM.
