Still don't understand how two fighters with 10 title wins between them and have been fixture on the PFP list for the last 5 years suddenly don't deserve a title shot

one has never fought at that weight and the other has not beat any ranked fighter at that weight in the past 5 years

I am happy for him that he is getting it and getting a career high payday for it.

He should of have gotten big money fights in 06, he should of gotten this payday or more so in 08 after Cotto.

But, 2 of the biggest names avoided him. NO top WW dared to mention his name for the first half of the decade.

Never got the respect he deserves for having arguably having the best WW resume in the last 10 years.

Yes he might be a disgraced fighter now, due to the Shane and wraps scandal. But, I am happy he is getting paid now.

As a Pac fan, this fight does nothing for Pac. Manny should be fighting more deserving fighters. But, as a Marg I like that he is getting the opportunity.

As a Pac fan it would suck if he lost to Marg. But, if Pac has to lose I would like to be to Marg. I am still rooting for Pac and hope he wins. Which I think he will. However, as a Marg fan I would be happy for him if he could pull off the upset.

That is all.

There is no problem with the fight, but all the other things that has came with this match. Is Margo a threat to Pac, of course cause his size and activity.

But everything else that it represents: another catchweight fight, neither fighter has done anything in the weight class to be fighting for a major title and another top rank fighter.

Interesting fight but it doesn't have much meaning cause Margo lost all his momentum with the wrap scandal and it shows more that the belt organizations rankings are a joke and are just in favor of money or influence

cant say i agree with this sentiment. margs had his chance at big paydays. he was on top of the world after he beat cotto(im still not convinced that that fight was legit). he wasnt due for any huge paydays until about that time, imo simply because he hadnt beat anybody worth that much. now after cotto he was on top of the world and what does he do???

so if he would have never gotten a big payday after cotto, then good for him, he didnt deserve it. and he def didnt back then either. ppl on this site **** on berto for the tough fights that hes been in. but lets not forget before cotto, margs was in some really ugly fights as well. but yet ppl on here dont think berto deserves his mill???

And??? Is this your first day following boxing? Compared to some of the ridiculous fighters that have literaly been given titles like these over the years its good to see two present/former champions who have actually acomplished something in their careers fighting for a belt. Seriously there have been much more ridiculous bouts for titles over the years but of course everyone has to overexagerrate this one.

I don't think that cheato deserves that fight. Even though pac fights with an advantage (catch weights and hydration clauses etc..) at least he does not cheat. He deserves it more than the disgraced margacheat. Once you cheat you loose your honor as a fighter and are worth nothing.

Saying that margcheat deserves this fight or payday is like saying that Resto should of had another chance after what he did. Very SIMILAR imho.
