You dont get how being 20 pounds over 4 weeks away in the biggest fight of your career is a bad thing.

Somehow to you this means nothing. Martinez has already been training for 4,5,6 weeks and hes still 176. Thats crazy.

He has to weigh in at 157 Pounds November 19th.

Hes already 20 pounds away from that. This isnt a "good' thing.

Martinez would lose his belts on the scales genius.

All sergio has to do is get down to 163-165. That's about 11-13lbs in 4 weeks, which isn't ****, especially if you ever seen or went through a training camp.
I am saying the same thing. He needs to get to mid 160's in a month, that's it. He will rehydrate and have a weight and power advantage over Williams and rock that freak of nature with a left to put him away.

I walk around at like 155 now maybe a pound less at times. When I run, I lose about 2.5 pounds of water weight and that is only off of running 5 miles. I'm not a pro athlete either but I'm sure that if I wanted to, I could lose 10 pounds of water weight in a day's time. You guys talking this losing 20 pounds in a month stuff is insane must have never really hit the gym up for any extensive amount of time...no offense intended either. I'm no boxer but I can lose 5 pounds of fat in less than 2 weeks with moderate cardio training. It's not bad if you have good genetics and you work hard. Sergio's genetics are very, very good....he is a lucky dude.

shut up turd...his title is at 160 why would he lose it if he comes in at 160? wbc has its own rules different from the catchweight agreement. are you saying the catchweight agreement overrules wbc?

You're right man. These dudes are trippin' cuz' they got Sexy's nuts too deep in their tonsils.

176 is too high, I don't care what anyone says. Yeah, you can lose water weight pretty fast, but that's not the right way to drop weight and it will hurt you in the fight because you're damaging your organs dropping weight that fast.

              Will he make weight?

Probably, but whether or not his body is in prime shape is another matter.

Im with you bro. As a Williams fan this news made me happy. That means this sint good news for Sergio.

I think he'll be 157 on the dot no doubt but I dont think he will be able to go balls to the wall for 12 rounds. its going to be an interesting fight for sure.

                  Burner it's like this;

Boxers know there bodies inside and out. Martinez knows what weight he has to get down to where he can sweat the rest off, and still make weight.

I'm sure the ideal number for Martinez is 163-165, but I'm not him so that's just me taking a rough guess. From that point on he can do a number of things to make weight, such as skip a few meals, cut his water weight...etc.

So again....11-13lbs isn't **** for a boxer in 4 week training camps. On top of that, it's not difficult to lose 5-8lbs of water weight, and I'm sure Martinez knows what he is doing.

                  • Everyody on here knows I dont like Williams but I agree with Burner that if Williams wins e should get full credit. I mean My walk around weight is 145-150, when Im not doing anything I have gotten to 155-160. and I have fought at 125 and I hit 122 once. So theres sould be no excuse

                      I work out 5 times a week.

Ran track in highschool, played football and ran track most of my life. I known about training.

Losing 20 Pounds in 30 days is not easy. Period. It doesnt matter if you are Martinez or Michael Phelps. Its not easy. Then on top of that he still has too actually TRAIN for Pauls style and then actually fight the guy.

Martinez is making it harder for himself by being almost 180 pounds 30 days away.
