    Talk about illusions.

I don't think it's excuses for the actual fight but people giving reasons why Martinez isn't in a bad position with his current when he clearly is.

A little consistency is all people want.
If Paul was trying to win an 8th title vs an undeserving fighter and putting on a catchweight. Hed be ripped by me.

      Period.

        More excuses.

You did the same for the Cotto fight.

That's what I was saying, and listen to Queloque and what he is saying. It's 9 or 10 pounds yes but you can lose all that in one day....all water weight. He only has to lose it for 5 minutes or whatever, weigh in, then drink and eat and regain what he lost. It's not fat that he is burning but he can run on a treadmill for 10 miles, and likely lose it all. He will regain it all and feel fine in the morning. Williams on the other hand, won't rehydrate at all because he will already be at the fighting weight. So when they walk into the ring, Sergio will be weighing in at 165, 166, 167 or so while Paul will still be at 157 maybe 158 max.

Anyway enough about Pacquiao. There are a million threads on him.

Ey Born2live is this a case of Martinez believing his own hype?

All of a sudden? Ive said this all along, as have others.

You are the only one who believes Paul is trying to "give an illusion" by asking for the catchweights LOL

He might even be planning to come in lower than 157 and wanted to make sure Sergio wasn't too much heavier than him.

It's all about May and entering the Pacquiao sweepstakes, that's all that CW's about.
There was NOTHING for Williams at 147. I don't believe for a second that his people didn't know that. There was never even a hint that Floyd or Pac would fight him. This catchweight being tough on Sergio makes a lot more sense.

You actually think Martinez being heavy will be some kind of advantage?

I think the opposite. His game is based on movement. Williams is going to test his stamina again.
