the thing is though Briggs is 38 his defense has never been his strong point and he was 260 lbs when you way that much you can't be mobile at all and if you don't have any upper body movement you are going to get tagged repeatly

remember what Vitali did to Kevin Johnson years ago when he came in too heavy

at least Haye has the speed and movement to at least not get hit with everything Vitali throws

Man, I really hope Briggs is ok. I felt sorry for him from the 10th round on and you can tell he was too proud and too much of a warrior to ask his corner to stop it but he was giving his corner this look "please man, I can't go on" and his corner, the piece of ****, tried to get him to continue, he obviously only cared about the dollars more than about his fighter's health. I really hope Briggs doesn't suffer permanent damage and that he lives to fight another day - maybe an exhibition fight in Germany. That was NOT worth $500K or 715000 Euro or whaterver he got paid.

Haye was getting hit with some serious shots by Barrett and Ruiz - you don't think Wlad or Vitaly will catch him? If they do just one time, it's bye bye Haye. He knows it and that's why he is not setting foot into the ring against them.

As Briggs noted after the fight, Vitali's handspeed is deceptively fast. Briggs was supposed to have very quick hands and Vitali was a lot faster than him. That goes against the conventional wisdom regarding Vitali.

I just don't see Haye as having the stones to get in the ring with a killer like Vitali, whether or not he could dodge some of the shots. I'll believe it when I see it, put it that way.

yeah true but i see him fighting more like he did against valuev he only really got tagged by ruiz and barrett because he was trading shots and not showing them much respect

and he is usually going for the knockout so he is naturally going to get hit more often

if he fights one of the klits he is going to be running like calderon and i don't blame him lol

i believe Haye would lose to both of them but at least he has something they haven't faced before speed

the klits always face guys with no speed and if they do have power they aren't skilled enough to land anything solid

The big thing Shannon was supposed to have going for him was handspeed, and Vitali proved to be faster than him.

I don't see Haye as being able to stand up to the onslaught you know Vitali would be bringing against him. And Vitali hates Haye -- he seemed to actually like Briggs. Imagine how pumped VK would be against a guy he despises.
