I hate comparing the all time greats in a fight. These guys were so great for two reasons -- 1)they were great physically and technically and 2)they were great at adopting in dire situations. IN reality it's almost impossible to compare two really great fighters if they never fought.
Unless there is a huge size disparity. Both Louis and Dempsey were damn great fighters, but they wont be that much of a challenge for someone who outsize them by 9 inches and 50 pounds.

The only good punches i saw Briggs land were a few body shots in the early rounds.

He landed a few really good rights that didn't faze Vitali. Here is the one he landed at the beginning of round 4 and the replay of it in between rounds.
