The only disappointment is that this tournament didn't reach the casual fans. Showtime tried with their excellent countdown shows, but they have a limited budget. However, lazy promoters like Shaw, Dibella and Gossen did jack **** and a special mention for Hennessy who managed to seclude Froch to small time PPVs in the UK...so typical. Maybe they did a better job in Denmark & Germany.

No. It didn't work out as planned but at the end of the day we are still getting fights we liekly wouldn't have been getting and there is still more to come (abraham/froch vs ward).

Also all these guys got a lot of exposure and the SMW division has gotten a lot of attention and interest as a result.

So I'm going to say it's been a success, despite everything negative about it.

No not a failure, as Natas stated we wouldnt be seeing these fights if not for the tournament. Also casual fans are getting to see fights and fighters they probably dont see.

This is why it was still a good thing, without the tourney most of them would have just fought tuneups and maybe we would have gotten 1 or 2 championship level fights by now. Even thought it didn't go spectacularly I am glad they did it still.

NOT NECESSARILY! Because now you have other divisions doing a Tournament so I think it started something POSITIVE IN BOXING, unfortunately it hasn't gone Smoothly but Ward, Abraham and Froch are still in it so it could possibly end on a positive note

Mother****er its not even over yet.

And so far it's been epic. How would it be a failure anyway? The only failure was the faggot ass british judges who scored the Froch-Dirrell fight. Abraham brutally KO'd JT. Ward-Kesser, Dirrell-Abraham, and Kessler-Froch were all SOLID fights with good action and its not even done yet.

It was a great idea producing great results. I don't see how figuring out the #1 fighter in a division in the world could come close to anything failure. Especially with good fights. Best idea in boxing!

Bute is the king of 168lbs.

He is head and shoulder ahead of anybody else.

Ward won't win against Bute even if its in Oakland.

I want to see Bute against AA or Andre Ward. Dirrell would get murk and Pavlik isn't anywhere strong enough to keep up with Bute.

But in March we will probably see Pavlik vs Bute.
