This is going to be a good fight, Lamont Peterson is no joke. him and his brother are both good fighters coming off losses so it will be nice to see how Lamont rebounds. I have respected Lamont since day 1, I remember there were stories about him gong punch for Punch with Floyd which says a lot because Floyd has the reputation of training the hardest..

honestly I think Lamont can take this one, I don't think Victor can out box him and I don't think Victor can knock him out, or course though we still don't know what Lamont has left, after the Bradley loss it may have damaged his fighting spirit, losing for the first time can do that so I guess we will have to see but honestly I think Lamont Peterson should take this one, if he sticks to his jab and doesn't look to engage he should outpoint Victor on the cards, however if the fight isn't a decision, if it's a stoppage in any form or fashion I'm sure it would be to Victor's favor.. I think the outcome of a decision is more likely than a KO in this fight so I guess I have to go with Lamont by Decision

I think top rank sees him as damaged good or lacking in potential, not to mention that Top Ranks gets a piece of Ortiz's purse everytime he fights. if ortiz wins, great! Top Rank gets to collect some cash. if peterson wins, great! Top Rank can build on that win.

You've been calling for Lamont for a while now, good call.
Lamont still looked good even in losing to Bradley. This will be a good match up and a hard test for Ortiz. Lamont won't be a walk in the park for Vic. He's gonna have to work on bringing Petersens high guard down early in the fight by going to the body.

Hey you!!TBH I always felt this and or a Judah fight would be a good fight to see where Ortiz was at in his Career..Ortiz imo will have to work the body and use movement to beat Peterson oh and pop that jab..If they fight in a phone booth Ortiz might be in trouble cause he might get hunted by the Maidana fight in a fight like that..I favor Ortiz but won't count out Peterson he is a dangerous opponent,I expect to see a good fight...
