This is a great fight. IDK WTF some of you are complaining about. Who else is he gonna fight? Guess you just can't please everyone....

Hopefully cards such as this becomes a trend again. The one fight HBO events aggravated me to no end.

Thats not a bad matchup, right there. If you think about it, both of them have advantages and disadvantages going in.
Ortiz has only lost to a Monster Punching Killer, which Lamont is definitely not.
Peterson has only lost to a Slick Well Rounded Workhorse, which Victor is definitely not.
Victor has a big edge in power, Lamont may have a big edge in D. This is a compelling match of young once beaten fighters.

Peterson vs Ortiz is a great matchup. It's kind of a pre crossroads fight. The winner goes on to an immediate titleshot while the loser goes back to the drawing board. While Peterson was competitive against Bradley he was shut down completely. If Ortiz wins he's got the right promoters to get him a shot at either champions where as in Petersons case Arum ain't paying for him to get beat up again.

I was disappointed when I heard Kotelnik and Mabuza didn't want it, but Peterson is just as good as them if not better (although Mabuza would've been a more interesting matchup considering Ortiz' past).

Ortiz is a huge problem against anyone he can hit, but he Lamont has a pretty tight D and has some of the best combinations in boxing. Victor has shown to me that he almost has the entire package inside the ring, he'll be tough to beat again.

This is a very good matchup and will be a solid fight..... **** what the haters think.

Victor by KO. I dont see anything in lamont that will trouble ortiz. Power punchers will give ortiz problems. But good fight tho.

Good fight, and a good card.

Last 2 months is really pulling through.

I'm gonna bust a nut. :wank:

sorry...why are GBP promising him a title shot when khan wants to face bradley/alexander.....let ortiz fight mabuza for the IBF title that they robbed off of alexander and if khan can be bothered to sweep that up once he's beaten bradley or alexander then so be it.
