He was released from the hospital that night, you don't leave a hospital as a fighter without having some tests done. ESPECIALLY, when you were hit while on the mat with a punch you didn't see coming. Their story may have been believable but to say your fighter "could have been left a vegetable" and the fact that they didn't find it till he was sparring... If he got worked up in sparring with 16 oz gloves and a helmet on this guys career is over. But I promise you he'll be fighting a nobody by next year saying its a miracle I'm alive.

And please, whoever said fighters won't "step out of a fight" needs to be slapped across the face and I'll bring the baby powder. Boxers today are not like they used to be, and really... its mainly African-American fighters. They somehow got the Floyd virus and its poisoning boxing with ****** bull**** like this. I'm not saying all black fighters do this but almost every single young black fighter is doing something to somehow NOT get the fights we want to see.

Paul Williams priced himself out of the Pavlik fight twice, then when actually HAD a legit reason to postpone Paul still decide to avoid the fight. He fights Martinez, in reality lost the fight and then did everything he could to NOT get the rematch. HBO said Martinez or you can find another station to broadcast your fights. Berto... the guy barely beat Collazo and since then he thinks he deserves Floyd money, he's a p*ssy too. I don't even need to bring up Floyd and now Dirrell with his "I could have been a cripple." Oh really, you didn't know this till AFTER you next fight was made, **** this guy and all these p*ssies in a mans sport, if these guys wanted to look pretty they could be Lady Gaga's back up dancers.

I can't remember exactly if it was blood clots or something of that sort, but the fact is that if this one punch caused "vegetative" damage then he should never, ever fight again. But the fact is none of this matters because Dirrell is lying his ass off.

Best post I've seen from a Cotto nuthugger. You do sound a little stereotypical, but a lot of what you said was true.

            yes there is, fggot.
doctor's test your cognitive functions such as your ability to recall, eye movement, verbal/motor responses and reaction times.
they then run you through a battery of physical tests to test your motor skills like your reflexes, balance, coordination, sensation, strength, etc

how else do you think athletes are diagnosed with a concussion? the doctor's just guess and take the athlete's word for it? GTFO here

A lot of people say this crap "Well, how would Dirrel just bitch out of this fight with a bunch of money on the table like that?" Easy. Dirrel and both Ward don't want to fight each other because they'd rather let friendship get in the way over proving who the best is and reaping the benefits that comes along with being in this tournament.

If Dirrell has a brain injury which caused him to pull out of the Ward fight, then surely he has to retire permanently? If he is not fit to face Ward then he won't ever be fit to fight again in his life. Brain injuries don't just disappear, even after years. If he can't fight Ward, he has to retire. If he fights somewhere down the line, then I'm afraid he is telling porkies about the whole situation.

This is the worst post I've seen from you. You brought up Cotto in a thread that has nothing to do with him, in a post I never even mentioned. Cotto is on your mind more than he's on mind, get a hold of your life bro.

Actually now that I think about it, this post is too stereotypical. Plenty of white fighters postpone fights and other races too with fake injuries and avoid tough fights. Examples of fighters that aren't black but are different nationalities that do one or the other are Bute, Calzaghe, Erdei, Pavlik who you mentioned but defended him, Donaire, Soto, Morel. And Thai fighters are infamous for it too. So just saying black fighters avoid tough fights and pull out with injuries is an idiotic thing to say now that I really stop to think about it even though Berto and Dirrel like you said definitely fit that category. Williams shouldn't shoulder all the blame for the fight against Pavlik not happening, because Pavlik postponed it two different times.

You're a complete idiot. There is a MAJOR difference between scheduled and MADE you ass, why worry about a fight that isn't signed. Why would he avoid the whole tournament to not fight his friend? What better way to get exposure than be in 2 fights and when the time comes to fight your friend you blame it on injury, especially when its convenient to say it was a "brain injury" from your last fight when you were hit with a cheap shot.
