You just never know when it comes to concussions, symptoms can be delayed and it can take weeks before the full effects become apparent.

I don't know if you follow baseball but a good example of how serious they can become happened this year with Justin Morneau.

He is the first baseman for the Minnesota Twins and a league MVP. He was kneed in the head going into a base and suffered a concussion more than 4 months ago. He still has not returned to the baseball field and is suffering from migraines, blurred vision and loss of balance.

Contrast that with NFL players who suffer a concussion and return the next week to a sport where they get consistently hit in the head and you get an idea for how much a head injury can vary from case to case.

If this is indeed the case, then lets hope for the best, he is a fun fighter to watch in my opinion. 2ndly, this is a major disappointment, I'm just glad I never got too excited about this fight, always assuming it wouldn't happen. Now, if this is some bull**** pull, then they should have been upfront with it, just announce that you two don't feel comfortable fighting each other, I really wouldn't hold that against them, if they are as close as they claim to be - that's if this is merely an excuse and not actually the truth, b/c in this business you're supposed to fight, not avoid it, which really defeats the purpose of entering this tournament, knowing your mans is in it too.

Hopefully Dirrell can come back from this unfortunate situation and continue, what I believe will be, a very rewarding career.
