Did you see how Dirrell owned Showtimes ass? Showtime threatened with a lawsuit if Ward/Dirrell didn't fight and Dirrell comes out of no wheres and claims neurological problems!Comment

Abraham certainly was gaining momentum at that point in the fight.I still find it hard to believe that there are still people who actually think that dirrell was faking when he go hit late. There was no reason for him to take a dive or not continue, its not like abraham was making a serious comeback in the fight. He was CLEARLY outboxed in that fight and the small comeback he started to mount, was because he was getting desperate and knew he was down on the scorecards. There was a late momentum switch ion abrahams favor, but not because his aggressiveness was effective, but moreorless because he had a winded fighter in front of him. I watched the replay numerous times and I find it hard to believe he was faking an injury in a fight he was clearly dominating. The interview he attempted to give says it all. To all the abraham supporters who swear dirrell was on his way down, its a feeble attempt to discredit the 10rds dirrell put in to school him. When I hear and read statements like that it says to me that the only chance abraham had to win was by ko, if not what's his excuse for his performance the 1st 9 rds.Comment

Bottom line was: the punch "appeared to be glancing", Dirrell made movements inconsistent with a person who has been knocked unconscious (glove to the wrong part of the head, pause along the ropes before collapsing, and time to put the gloves to his head when he was down), AA was mounting a comeback and gaining steam in the fight, there were 2 rds to go, that was months ago.
Rather than stick it out for the remaining 2 rds and risk getting shafted in two consecutive fights, especially with AA starting to get more aggressive and landing more frequently, Dirrell saw an opportunity and took it. Instead of going through with the Ward fight, a fight that clearly neither of them wanted, he had a ready made excuse and he used it. We will know the deal in its entirety should Dirrell be cleared within a month or so to fight. Of course Shaw is going to say it's legit, what else would he say? "I know Dirrell is my fighter and even though he says there is a problem, I have some doubts".......yeah, I can see that happening now.Comment

yeah he really owned everyone, training that much then when his big day comes playing dead on the canvas then spending the next year contradicting himself
his own time must be worth very little to him
another fighter with all the physical tools but 0 emotional stabilityLast edited by Toe Injury; 10-29-2010, 08:00 PM.Comment

I ain't gon lie though when I first seen that blow I thought that it wasn't that hard of a shot because of the way he reacted, as if he was gonna point it out to the ref, but then seen how serious the ref was and was going to penalize him . That's when he was like oh shid I can actually win dis shid right here .
Point is Dirrell is one of my favorite fighters and after much as I wanna say he this whole , AA situation and the withdrawal is legit , the evidence is mounting against him.
I would like to see the fightcamp 360 tomorrow night and see if there's any clarification on the whole thing from his mouth especially.Comment
