...Lacy was by far the better man in that ring and the ref didn't make Robin(the gay boy wonder) fold like a cheap suite.

I have lost all respect for reid and lacy, and that was most the horrible display of reffing i have ever seen, a pathetic fight and a very unsportsman liek fight, i hope lacy and reid go nowehre in there career.....pathetic

I agree entirely that it was a horrible display of reffing during the fight. The last couple of points the ref took from Reid were very uneccessary.

But why get mad at Lacy and Reid? You hope their careers go nowhere? What for? Lacy won the fight with or without the referee's decisions as far as points go. The main had NEVER been knocked down in his career, and Lacy legitimately dropped him 3 times!


Early on, Reid was doing a WHOLE lot of 'grabbing then punching'. It was obvious and wrong.

The other thing, I thought the knockdown after the ref called time-out was legit. If you I know Lacy didn't hit Reid after the timeout on purpose. The adrenaline is flowing and things just happened. YOU MUST STAY ON YOUR GUARD WHEN FIGHTING IN THE RING AT ALL TIMES!!! And again, not even counting that knock down, Jeff had him down an extra 3 times.

The ref was laughing and hanging out with Lacy.

*shakes head* NO. He was congradulating him AS HE WAS ABOUT TO MAKE THE DECISION OFFICIAL BY RAISING THE VICTOR'S HAND! think.



Overall, it wasn't the best display of boxing ever. There was dirty play throughout the fight and i do feel a little bad for Reid having to come all the way over and having the problems he had before the fight, it's just been a tough experience for him. I think he did prove he had heart and is a very good fighter that deserved to be in there. The bottomline is Jeff came out and regardless of the negatives put on an AMAZING display of boxing skills and knowledge. His power is RIDICULOUS and i'm SOOOO Happy to see that again from it lacking a bit in his last few fights to quiet any doubters. Congrads Jeff, take it to Calzaghe in November.(?)

He wasnt, at first they both were afraid of fighting because they ref got on Reids case during a clinch where he hit Lacy on his side. What fouling did Reid do, that Lacy or any other fighter hasnt done with no major affects?
