To bold since when? Moving side to side and taking a step back to load up on your incoming oppponent early in the fight is not fighting going backwards.

He can fight going backwards better than most would want to give him credit for. Does he moonwalk with a beer in hand landing uppercuts? Obviously not, but he's proven several times he can throw and land going backwards and using lateral movement.

All these threads make me laugh, people always make them before Floyd and Pac fights. When Pac dominates Margarito en route to another victory these people will act like they said Manny would dominate all along...

Honestly man I said this a month ago but one thing Manny will do is fake like he is coming in, take a step back and let Margarito walk right into a short left/right hook.

I notice Clottey had success against Margarito doing that, even stunning him, and I noticed Roach and Manny working on that as well in the recent training videos they showed on here.

The bold is not fighting going backwards that is setting a trap. Manny can not go a half a fight let alone 12 rounds fighting off his back foot. Manny's defense and jab are the main reasons why that just would not workout well for him. The man can do many things in a boxing ring but fighting going backwards is not one of them.

I don't think Pacquiao has 1 punch power to KO Margarito, but I think his punches have more than enough power to cause damage throughout the course of a fight, even for Margarito. I also don't think Pac's going to let Margarito lay him on the ropes while Pac tries countering like how Cotto was trying to do. Before Marg can even attempt to pose his size on Pacquiao he'll be moving out of the way and landing 3-4 punch combos in the process. Not sure Marg's gonna withstand that for 12 rounds.

Thats sounds all find and dandy, but Margarito is 5'11" and Manny 5'6 1/2", it wont be that easy to land on Margo, as hittable as Margo is.

Manny doesn't have to hold. And his power is good enough. Plus, he's faster and far more active. He'll land more at a higher rate. That's power. Besides, he doesn't have to stop him. He can easily outpoint him doing that.

Mosley didnt kept throwing, he just selectively threw power punches. He only average like 54 punches per round in that fight.
