Link Please! Don't remember if that's true or not, but if he did, so what! He is a 147 fighter and Marquez was calling to fight him. Floyd didn't ask for Marquez. He wanted a name fighter to come back against after a 2 yrs layoff. Someone he could make a big payday and also not jump something that might much after the layoff. I'm sure the fact that he thought Marquez beat Pa didn't hurt either.

The fight took several weeks of back and forth negotiations to make. The money involved was not the big issue. Both fighters argued over weight. Mayweather, during the early talks, wanted the fight to take place at 147-pounds. Marquez, who holds multiple titles at 135-pounds, wanted the fight to take place at 143 at the most.

As to the highlighted, I don't EVER want to see you criticize Pac for the weight negotiations with DLH, Cotto or Margarito. Because as YOU say, THOSE dudes were calling out Pac and THOSE dudes agreed and signed the contract just like Marquez agreed to Floyd's contract.
